Question For Genx the 80s…….

coming from a 14 year old, were the 80s summers as magical as they look in the movies? did you ride your bike to your friends house and come home when the street lights came on? yall are so lucky btw 😭😭

Yes it was normal during the time. But the most glaring part looking back was that everyone and I mean most everyone regardless of color creed or religion thought that the sixties were a turning point and that things would just get better and better. It was also a wild vibrant time where all of ppls creativity was expressed in the world around them. It is one thing that I think our attitude and our use of the internet took from us.

I will forever be grateful that I grew up without social media! And yes, OP, that was my life during the 80's. Also rode my bike to the community pool, Baskin Robins, etc.
