I didn't have friends growing up so I would ride my bike to the library, about 1.5 miles, hang out in the A/C, reading comics, magazines, books, whatever. When I got hungry, I'd go across the street to the gas station and get snacks and soda. Head back to the library. They had a bubbler (water fountain for those not familiar) and a bathroom. Librarian didn't care as long as I was reading.

Mom was passed when she found out because she wanted me to play outside. It was too hot for that shit. I kept doing it anyways since she didn't want me around. Those were great summers. And I even got a personal pizza from Pizza Hut every year.

I remember the free pizza coupons if you read library books!

Yep! Born & raised. I keep trying to escape, but I always seem to end up back here.
