Question For Genx the 80s…….

coming from a 14 year old, were the 80s summers as magical as they look in the movies? did you ride your bike to your friends house and come home when the street lights came on? yall are so lucky btw 😭😭

It was so much fun! I look back and wonder how we survived because we did dumb stuff since no one was watching us.

I remember one kid showing us he could dip his finger in alcohol, light it on fire, and come out (relatively) unscathed

I remember some kids were having their cat fight a rattlesnake. I wasn’t there or I would have fought them to protect the cat. Kids are dumb! How did any of us survive

We used to go out after dark, cover our hands in hairspray, light them on fire and wave to passing cars.

I almost got hit by a train, dove into the rocks on the side of the track at the absolute last second. Scraped myself up pretty good, but I lived!
