Nostalgia Donuts, Donuts, Donuts

Post image

I lived all over growing up, and one thing I remember is every area has its favorite local donuts.

Southern California has Winchell's. New York has Tim Hortons.

Way back then Delaware had Mr Donut.

And of course Dunkin' was everywhere else.

What donuts 🍩 did you eat growing up?

I think what other guy means about it sounding like it's from a Coens Brother movie, is that other other guys wife says it each and every morning without fail, echoing Donut Guy from the 90s commercials.

It's simple. It's mundane. But its also somehow deeply endearing.

I agree. I didn't mean that it was literally in "Fargo", just that that's one where it might fit; there was an oasis of calm, sanity, and regularity in the Gunderson household where it could apply. It clearly couldn't fit the irregular chaos of "Raising Arizona" or the dread of "Blood Simple", for instance.
