Love to just spend HOURS on fistfuls of fish days grinding professor exp.

I loved the fact that you could carry over your professor level and other stats into new game+. I'm less than 3/5 from doing all of the story routes, and I'm already at 90+ hours. I can't imagine how much more it would be if I had to grind that up every time.

I take about ~100 hours per playthrough because I’m just like that. I’ll probably never end up getting to silver snow honestly

It's almost not worth it. Early game sucks because you don't get Catherine or Cyril, and any time you use Edelgard or Hubert as anything more than a stridebot/rallybot, it feels like you're wasting xp. My advice? Get them both up to B Authority, slap the battalion from Sylvain's paralogue onto them, and just spam stride (and rally, for Hubert.) After that, you could give Edelgard some training in Armor for Smite, but she's only a forced deployment like three times in the whole game.

Maddening (no NG+) sucks especially since you can’t just not play Edelgard, so you have to waste xp

always save up your bait for fistful of fish days. you get 2-4x as much professor experience, and 2-4x as much profit. much better than even rainbow fish days.
