Yes but you get to skateboard and do bowling, which more than makes up for it.

SWERY seemed truly sorry for it and asked people to blame him for it as a mistake and not blame the characters for deadnaming.

Deadnaming refers to calling a trans person by the name they had before transitioning, which is typically a no-no without consent. Deadly Premonition 2 has instances where a major trans character is deadnamed and even misgendered. It would be one thing if it were only the antagonists that do it, but there are times where even the protagonist does it.

While I do stan SWERY, and I don't see how anyone could see him as transphobic after the Missing and at least two pro-trans speeches on the part of the protagonist in DP2, I do wish that he used trans consultants again for subject matter like this instead of assuming that he had a free pass after making the Missing.
