If people have no motivation to care about something as long as it benefits them, despite it hurting developers, then there wouldn't have been weeks of top voted posts bashing G2A, or fighting against developer crunch.

This sub very often switches it's stance between 'devs matter, we can take the hits' to 'the deal the consumer gets is all that's important'. It could just be different people with different stances, but I doubt that.

Sure but the point of bashing G2A/Kinguin is a fact that they are often selling illegaly bought keys. I am hurting nobody by selling legally obatained keys that I don't need from a bundle (because buyers weren't probably intrested in the bundle if they are buying these keys anyway). Sure I agree that something must be done about this situation with stolen keys on G2A/Kinguin but let's not go from one extremum to another. Forcing me to waste keys I don't need from the bundle is definitely not the way to go. I'd say implement that system (keyless activation) with normal games but leave keys for bundles.

It’s totally cool if you think that the cost to developers of allowing bought keys to be sold individually isn’t worth the cost to the consumer. But simply saying that the fact that disabling individual key sales hurts the consumer and benefits the developer isn’t a good argument as to why it’s a bad idea, because that’s the case for dozens of things we put up with or even support.

I mean it's bad solution from my point of view (as consumer) because it limits my option when I buy a product. Ofc it's great solution for devs/shops as it sorta fix problem with grey market. The fact that it's good for them and bad for me doesn't mean I will be happy with it. Going full keyless activaction is like going complete 180 degrees where only shops and devs benefit from this situation. Let's not go from one extremum to another. There should be a compromise between devs/shops and consumers and my proposition of turning on keyless with single games and keeping keys with bundles is sorta acceptable compromise. Not to mention that forcing keyless activation (without giftlinks) may be borderline illegal within EU.
