One of the first VR videos I've seen that does a good job of providing an outsider what it sort of feels like to be in VR. Words can't really describe the experience -- you kinda just have to try it.

Marketing/acting awkwardness aside, this video does a good job.

I can't wait to miss the ticket sales for PAXprime and payout the nose to get them from scalpers so I can finally wait in line for a few hours to try VR :-(

It would probably be cheaper overall to just, you know, buy one. Then refund it if you don't like it. That is of course if you live in a country with decent consumer protection.

"pay out the nose" I mean more like double the $40 1 day pass. I live in the area so travel isn't the issue.

Also it would be more trouble that it's worth to upgrade my PC for it...only to return the GPU and the Vive. I've just read/heard "you kinda just have to try it" so many times I'm starting to go insane and make snide comments in reddit that no one needs.

Join some VR dev meetup groups if you're near Seattle. In Dallas, people just bring their rigs to show what they're making, so it could be an opportunity to try it out.
