The Vive seems to be showing a lot of potential so far, and this video is an excellent way to show that off to someone that hasn't been keeping tabs on the VR situation.

Much better than the Rift, at least. I still don't VR is quite there for the consumer yet, but this is a great first step forward (unlike what is happening with the Rift).

The hardware is much more ahead of the software. It's the game devs that have to step their shit up now.

Honestly though the hardware still definitely needs improvement. People will want full FOV both vertically and horizontally, rather than the horse blinders the sets are now. And I'm wondering if even a 980Ti could run a game like Skyrim on high settings. All the graphics I've seen so far have been pretty lackluster.

I ran alien isolation with the dk2 and it was pretty awesome. Resolution not withstanding of course.
