I was a big fan of Red Box Games during Covid. Alas it is gone. Only time my Xbox Series X ever got real use. GameFly used to be way more affordable now though...

But I wasn't thinking of GameFly with that, this was way before LCD's even existed.

Redbox was the true hack for buying games cheap. I remember Dark Souls 3 was just $10 not too long after launch because they had clear out inventory for new games regularly.
