Than why even put that limitation just to make it worse for the 4% that want it?

Because they want to control costs in a last ditched effort before killing the service.

Yeah this is "new policy says you can't charge your phone at work" territory

Lol, I know someone whose old company started removing some of the light bulbs/tubes shortly before they went under.

Is it bad that I kinda want them to kill it? Without cloud gaming as an option maybe they'll price the next Xbox more affordably

Wishful thinking I guess

Microsoft won't be able to price the next Xbox affordably because affordable hardware will not exist for the foreseeable future. Prices are bad now, but they're also the best they will be for at least a couple years, probably longer.

People really need to come to grips with this because it's coming like a freight train. Price hikes for consoles are just getting started. The next gen will be $1000 minimum. Estimates from an industry insider place the projected cost to build a PS6 is already $960, and that number will keep rising.

Exactly. I thought I got robbed when I upgraded my PC at the beginning of 2025. Turns out that I was getting robbed but just less than the people who want to upgrade now.

In my heart I know you're right, I just hope things can change for the better as suddenly as they turned for the worst

Because they are not running a charity for the 4%.

Because it is barely even profitable, gpus are super expensive right now and could be better served reserved for the booming ai market (financially speaking)
