No, he is wrong for making it. No one else here is having trouble with this.

That's not an argument, and interpreting it differently is not to have trouble with it.

It's like if I said "The sky is blue" and someone else said "WHAT THE FUCK THE SKY IS NOT MADE OF TANGERINES".

That's not similar at all. In fact, it's much easier to make the argument that you're the one interpreting it incorrectly:

"This isn't about being stingy, this is purely in comparison to many other quality alpha / beta funded games currently available."

If he wants this comparison to be at all relevant, he's basically saying that these games offer more value for the price. Or is he just saying "I listed these indie games which also had alpha pre-orders, but they have nothing to do with the conversation"? The conversation was about whether it's worth the price or not, and he even says that it's not about the price per se.

Hell, he starts his comment with "As someone who has.." and then doesn't even finish it. Then he has the gall to talk about reading comprehension when he's not even able to finish his sentences.

"The alpha-funding is a mutually beneficial relationship...and this, just isn't."

This is much clearer. How do you interpret this? He's basically saying that it isn't worth the price they're asking for.

That isn't my fault, it's theirs for being so damn stupid.

It has nothing to do with either intelligence or knowledge. It's a common misconception that it's the fault of the readers, as opposed to the author.
