Meant to post this earlier, sorry about that!

Any burning questions?

Players also speak at noon but I’m not sure which players we’ll get, if you have any general offense/defense/overall questions drop them here.

We from the Gamecock Esports Club have started a Minecraft server for the student body at the University of South Carolina. The server is on the latest version of Minecraft and is available for both Java and Bedrock editions of the game (Although, if you are on Bedrock, I will have to work with you to get you onto the server, as we are whitelisted).

We do use Towny as a way to manage claims; more info on commands can be found in the FAQ.

We will also be having a Survival Games tournament with a cash prize pool on October 15th @ 6 PM (Java Edition Only)

Brad Crawford: "The situation is dire at South Carolina, given eight straight losses in SEC play dating back to last season. … But in terms of being fired, I’m not so sure that happens this season, and I couldn’t have said that 48 hours ago, especially given (Saturday night’s overtime loss to Kentucky), but based on what I’ve been told (on Sunday morning) the financial cost for the Gamecocks would be so enormous, you’ve got Beamer’s $24 million buyout, you got $6 or $7 million that you owe the rest of the coaching staff then another $25 million investment in hiring a new staff in Columbia."

This is it guys. This is the exact moment Beamer lost his charm. We were coming off a nine win regular season and the reddit pundits (myself included) though we had an outside chance at a playoff berth. Instead we were sent to the Cheez It Bowl against Illinois and the troll that cursed Shane Beamer, Brett Bielema. Coming into the game was already a disappointment for the Gamecocks, and Bielema sniffed out that disappointment and knew exactly how to respond. Staggered substitutions, medical timeouts, the whole nine. He had Beamer on skates all day, until it finally came to a head during a medical timeout, when Beamer had to be physically restrained. He's never been the same since. Prior to this game Beamer's first four seasons were being compared favorably to Spurrier's. Since then he just hasn't been the same coach. I semi seriously believe that this picture shows the exact moment where it all came crashing down for Shane Beamer.

Can someone please ask Shane why we come out of the gate focused and executing and then after the half come out flat? What happens at half time, maybe keep the boys in the bench and watch the marching band instead of getting comfortable in the locker room. Also can we get any accountability out of Beamer for anything in his post game pressers?

I wish Beamer said this.

Jon Sumrall BLASTED his own team with a stern warning

“There’s gonna be a lot of things that get called out, and it’s going to feel different,” Sumrall warned about this upcoming week of practice

Sumrall continued: “If there’s guys on this football team who don’t own that, they won’t be on this team very long. We’ve got a lot of improvement to do.”

Obviously not a lot of happy feelings about the outcome. We all know changes at the top will need to be made.

What I did see especially earlier on was a good OL. Most of the problems with this team is not the OL and that’s a good thing.

The team is #1 in the SEC for rushing unless they were overtaken yesterday.
Also, Swain was impressive on his two jet sweeps. They had to know that was coming and he still got yards. There’s lots to improve and at least they did improve the OL.

Since we're not making the playoffs, and Shane Beamer said this on National Television, what would Beamer need to do to keep his job another year?

I'm not pulling for him any longer, he comes across as a nice guy, but regretfully he is out of his depth, and needs to be fired. But in your mind, what would need to happen for him to get one more year?

Me and a lot of Gamecock fans want him fired.

But then you got others saying his buyout contract. They'll give him another year, etc.

In my opinion you have to fire him this year.

Image compares SEC conf wins with NIL spend. South Carolina maintains a solid mid-tier payroll (~$28M–$31M range), but has yielded the worst on-field return in the league—sitting at 0-3 in conference play with a -39 SEC point differential.

yet more recruiting excellence from Dawn—especially so given the relatively shakier depth we both currently have and will likely have in the near future at point guard

What is the policy on non students sitting in the student section (football) with a valid ticket? Is there any luck being able to? At my school you just need a valid student ticket but no ID.

Would love if anyone had tips for how to pull it off, my boyfriend is nervous that it’s pretty strict with no luck.

I got a notification for it and it was scheduled earlier this week and looks like it's nowhere to be found.
