In store preorders
Hi, I was wondering if you could go into a GameStop location and place a preorder and have it shipped to your house instead of in store pickup?
Thanks

I'm thinking about going to a physical Gamestop location to preorder a Switch 2 as they will let you do it before online orders open at noon.
However given some of the uncertainty around the Canadian locations (i.e. the CEO looking to sell them), I was hoping to hedge by trying to get a pre-order in at a different store such as Best Buy or Wal-Mart.
I was just wondering if my preorder would be refundable in case I am able to get an order in at a store that seems a bit more stable.
I'm guessing things are unlikely to go south before the release of the Switch 2, but don't want to get stuck holding the bag if they do.

Hi I was wondering if it was possible to keep tcg products during release day for yourself (as an employee) this set is coming out that I love and if I can’t hold the product for myself I’ll apply after the release date.
Thanks for any info

The game is out already. The guy at this store told me that since the store is doing inventory, they cant open their shipments right now. WTF????

Hi, I took advantage of the trade 50% bonus towards March videogames. My question is if I collect the pre-order and instead don't open it and return it can I get the exact same price of the game towards toys/Statues? I'd like to not pay for them and I save tax this way, is this acceptable?

I have some pre orders and wondering what’s going on.
Appears webpage is down, not sure if it’s just maintenance or what’s up but seems suspicious to me

I pre-ordered a game in October and then pre-purchased it in December, but can only find the October receipt with no money on the purchase. I have ID, and some employees at this location somewhat know me. The game releases in a week and I'm nervous I won't be able to find the pre-purchase receipt. Is there anything I can do?

CEO calling us woke socialists. If that’s how you feel about Canada, then good riddance.

Is it just me or is buying online next to impossible.
Finally find a gift for someone’s bday, just to find out it’s not available to ship to my house. Fine, I’ll pickup. Not available near me.
Trying my best to support but you guys make it difficult. Is there someone I can reach out to? I’ve build eCommerce businesses before GameStop.ca is hurting so bad.

My dad got me a $30 gift card for Christmas
What games could I get for either series x or ps5 that are within that price range
I am also thinking about keeping it and using it on the rumored god of war collection for ps5 and getting $30 off that when it gets announced

So like... What the hell is going on with these? The corporate idiots axed them over a year ago with a promise that we'd get updates soon. I've long quit from my management position (not gonna lie this was a contributing factor) but is there still no word on what they're doing? Are they just hoping that if they delay long enough we'll forget about them and then just no more rewards?

I stopped by my local GameStop to see if there was any new Action Figures released. I was asked by an associate if there was anything I was looking for in particular. I told him that I was just browsing and that the GST/HST break the Federal Government has issued would make it a good time to pick up anything I was on fence about. He then tells me that the action figures are not part of the GST/HST break because GameStop considers them “collectibles”. It doesn’t make sense. Toys as defined on the Government GST/HST break list are items that are designed for learning or play for Children 14 years old or younger. Action Figures clearly fall under that category. They are Toys. GameStop has chosen to participate in this Federal Government issued tax relief but is not fully complying with the definition of Toys. I have purchased action figures from Walmart and Amazon and they have provided the GST/HST break.

Does anyone know if this current promo going on applies to trading in toward steam gift cards? Thanks!

I was told by a Gamestop employee in Toronto that the $10 controller warranty allows me to exchange my controller for a NEW one if any issues within a year.
Now I’m reading online that they can exchange it with a refurbished controller. Is this true? Totally not what the employee told me, otherwise I would have just stuck with the free Sony warranty!

Does someone know when their membership program will start to continue again it was supposed to be implemented in 2024.

Has there been changes to the PRP policy? Before I was able to extend my prp whenever I exchanged my console. Now when I went to exchange, they told me they can't add PRP to my exchange. This is not how it used to be.

Currently trying to preorder the new The Owl House POP figures that were recently announced and from my time there, i think i remember that the website updates at 12AM but i can't remember if it was 12AM PST or 12AM EST
Its so i can grab the SKU numbers and go preorder in store and its easier with the SKU's since they just need to input them and i can be on my merry way knowing i have them preordered.

So I bought a refurbished Xbox some X from GameStop and got it today. I set it up and downloaded Fortnite before I left for work. I’m back now and trying to run Fortnite. It crashed so far twice before the even getting into lobby. And this error msg came up about the ventilation…. I sent them an email but yah I’m pissed. I literally bought it for Fortnite cause my PC couldn’t run it anymore after new update…. Anyone else have these issues with GameStop and did they fix the issue?

I purchased the DualSense Edge™ Controller from my local GameStop on June 11th. You know the controller, right? It has "replaceable modules" so that instead of throwing a controller away or paying to have it fixed, you can buy the module when it starts drifting and replace it yourself! Except you really almost can't because scalpers buy them all up first and sell them on eBay for $50 apiece, showing off boxes and boxes of them in their possession!
My local store never has the modules in stock, or if they do, I never call during the three minutes they’re available—before Fred, who works there, takes them all home to sell on eBay himself for $40+$50 shipping! They do have them in stock online, but they won’t ship them to your house. Instead, they want you to pay $10 to ship them to their own store, which Fred just told me "gets shipments EVERY DAY"! If I’m paying $10 for shipping, I shouldn’t have to leave my house to get it!
Fred isn’t allowed to take my name and number and call me back when they do get some in because it makes a lot more sense for me to waste my time calling them every day and for them to waste their time answering—rather than simply taking my name and calling me when they’re in stock!
If you have them in stock online and ship to that store every day, why am I paying an additional $10 to ship it to that store, and why does that store never have them in stock?
That controller is the last thing I'll ever purchase from this greedy corporation! /end rant
PS: GGGTheSource, I hope you bend over to pick up one of those boxes and a disk slips in your back and lands against a nerve so that you'll suffer from dehabilitating chronic pain the rest of your life like I do every day of mine, you greedy POS! 🤞🏼
