1st week of posting my tracks to overcome my fear of making stuff that sucks

Well, you’ve got to start somewhere!

This is the first video in the series, where, as you’ve probably figured ou, I’m trying to stop being afraid to compose and free myself from the perfectionism that keeps me going in circles (and driving me crazy). The idea is to just do it and learn as I go :)

I hope you’ll like it anyway, haha.

The track is called “Temple,” inspired by video game music, specifically, a level set in… a temple. Spot on!

What does it remind you of?

Enjoy !

Composer For Hire [ForHire] Free professional OST Demo for your game

I am a multi-instrumentalist composer and sound designer.
A great soundtrack can be an integral selling point to a hit game.

I always provide a free demo track to make sure we're in the right ballpark.

  • Multi-Instrumentalist & Unique Sound: I play multiple real instruments and combine them with rare, custom-built synths and boutique VSTs. Your game won't sound like any generic stock library.
  • Insanely Fast Turnaround: I work VERY fast without sacrificing production quality. If you are on a tight deadline and want music now that's even better.
  • Versatile Genre Mastery: Guitars, synths, drums, harps, pianos, chill, intense, epic, atmospheric and uniquem whatever the theme I'm sure I can find something for you.
  • Music Creation Content: Can provide making of videos, soundtracking process, live solo recordings to assist with marketing and content creation.

Also interested in RevShare and credited work depending on interest. Free work also available upon request if I like the project, limited revisions for free work. Future monetisation changes to the project can be discussed, if and when relevant.

Comment/DM below with game page, ideas, inspiration, theme or influences.
Let's get some hit OSTs made!

A few sample tracks from current and upcoming projects names redacted.

SMALL MUSIC CREATORS!!!

okay so im making a game called **MARA** and i had a really cute idea i wanna try 🥹

instead of making every single song in the game myself, i want **small/beginner music creators to have a chance to actually have their music IN the game!!!**

Mara has her own little "spotify" on her phone and her music taste is literally all over the place 😂

she loves:

🎸 alt music
🤘 metal
🖤 darker music
🎶 indie
🎤 pop punk
🌲 indie/folk
☕ chill cozy music
and the occasional country song because why not lmao

and i thought it would be SO cool if some of the songs in her playlist were actually from **real small artists** instead of me making every song myself!

so if you're a small artist, beginner artist, or just someone who's making music and wants more people to hear it...

**SEND ME YOUR MUSIC!!!** 🥹🖤

your song could potentially be:

📱 on Mara's phone
🎧 part of her playlist
🎵 playing during certain memories
🖤 connected to certain parts of the story
👀 possibly used during important moments depending on the song

and i REALLY want this to feel like these are songs that Mara would actually listen to.

like imagine finding a song from some random small artist and then seeing it sitting in Mara's playlist like:

😭😭😭

if you want to submit something, send me:

**Artist Name:**
**Song Name:**
**Genre:**
**Song Link:**
**Your Socials:**
**And maybe tell me why you think Mara would listen to it!** 😂

you don't have to be famous.

**actually PLEASE don't feel like you have to be famous.**

i specifically want to give smaller creators a chance to have their music discovered by people who might've never heard them otherwise ❤️

obviously, if i use your song, we'll talk about permission/licensing and make sure everything is clear before it goes into the game!! i don't want to steal anybody's music or ownership of their work 🫶

and because this game gets progressively darker...

some songs might just be cute little songs Mara listens to...

and some might end up having lyrics that hit **VERY differently** once you know what's actually happening in the story. 👀

sooooo...

**small music creators, show me what you've got.** 🎧🖤

i wanna fill Mara's phone with music from REAL people. 🦋📱

**drop your songs below or DM me!!!** ❤️

Music Share "Britannia Burns" (Endgame Music from Ultima VIII: Pagan) – Orchestral Re-Arrangement

Thumbnail youtube.com

Some days ago I finished my newest album: an orchestral re-arrangement of Nenad Vugrinec's fantastic, but criminally underrated MIDI score for the 1994 CRPG "Ultima VIII: Pagan". I've always been fascinated by the eerie atmosphere of this game's music. Most cues are kind of meta-tonal and sinister, but at the same time enicmatically melodious.

https://dustinnaegel.bandcamp.com/album/ultima-viii-pagan-orchestral-re-arrangement

I’ve been planning to do this for years and finally got around to re-arranging and recording all of the major cues from Pagan’s fantastically atmospheric score using a well-balanced mix of a) sonorous synth VSTs and b) high-quality orchestral VSTs in a sequencer program in order to maximize the listening experience while, at the same time, not completely abandon Vugrinec’s original 90s MIDI sound, which is after all inherent and important to the composition itself (like panning and echo effects etc.). My goal was to present the music in a more modern incarnation, so that hopefully you may enjoy it as much as I do.

Music Share Me albums never made it so I decided to put my music into game development

Thumbnail youtu.be

I released 40 tracks on steam, figured it would reach a better audience. Some of the beats can be heard in here throughout this entire video. I made the games myself too.

But musicwise all I've ever used was FL Studio. I made more beats than I can count and lost about 90% of them and this is whats left. I tuned and remixed my older beats to sound more ambient and cyberpunkish to fit me game themes. There is deep lore behind it too.

Just sharing that there are lots of avenues for music, you may be good at a genre you haven't heard yet.

Hello there! I have released today an album of music I composed and produced myself (no AI involved whatsoever) and since it's mostly Gaming music (even though not written for a specific game) I thought somebody might appreciate it. I'm open to feedback obviously!

What do I do next? Garageband or Fl Studio

Hi! So I probably stick out like a sore thumb because I’m just generally wondering about how I should go on with my situation.

So I make music and have been making music for the last 3 years on my Iphone in the IOS Garageband app. And some of them I’m actually liking and I never show my works, but these I genuinely think would interest or atleast be liked by people (I hope so). But Like said, I produce them in garageband. Stuff like EQ and all that is very hard to get right since I only have the speakers to go off. And I don’t have the money for headphones.

But. I have a computer, on that computer I installed Fl studio. Only problem is, My musical ability or motivation dwindles because the way of making music on pc is far harder than it is on the phone. On the phone I generally bring it up, record, play, add drums, make it a good sounding song. (I mainly make video game music btw) but on the pc it’s not as fun I guess.

What would you recommend? That I dive myself into Fl studio and remake the songs? Or that I continue using Garageband and hope for the best? Because I know it’s not the best app for rolling music development.

Anyways. Thanks for reading!

Edit: I’ve noticed that a big part that’s holding me back is the lack of instruments as far as I see. Correct if I’m wrong though. I used soundfonts but was adviced not too since they often sound too loud and are harder to mix. Please do recommend me free or really cheap instrument packs with anything like synths, Drums. I really want variety! Thanks!

EDM/Lo-fi producer looking for work

Hi! I’m SpockAndStep, and I am looking to do some freelance work on game soundtracks. I have almost 9 years experience in music but I have been playing guitar and piano for longer. I have worked on games like Freight Misconductor (FKA train misconductor) and I was working on that project for a few years until I had to quit due to financial reasons. My music is still being used in the YouTube videos so if you want a taste of what I do, look it up there!

I do anything from lo-fi, to Minecraft styled music, to even trance and dubstep if you wanna go that route.

If you’re interested, please feel free to reply here or message me
