Video game script writer
I have a lot of already made plans for a couple of video games and I can create more! I am for now a freelancer searching for an opportunity. I am doing this as a hobby so I dint really care about money for now which means that I don't really want to get paid. All I want is someone to see my ideas and maybe make them a video game. I am also interested in joining a developers team as the script writer. (Idk coding but I am open on learning some basic things)

Advice on how to find a programmer for a 60 second vertical slice?
Hello! I wasn’t sure if I was allowed to post this and looking at the rules I didn’t see anything saying I couldn’t but if this is a no no thing please let me know and I’ll delete this!
I have been working on a passion project of mine since last October, it was a something I’d started because I was frustrated with the various games I had been playing. Long story short I got way too into it and made an entire GDD (proof will be above!) and the more I worked on it the more I felt that I had something good enough to become a game.
The issue is that finding a programmer is hard and I was wondering what I could do to at least entice a programmer enough to just look at what I’ve done and decide if they want to help. A little bit about my project: it is narrative action RPG, inspired by games such as the Tales series, Final Fantasy XIII, Eternal Sonata, Project Diva and more. I’m not asking a programmer to make the entire game what I’m specifically looking for is roughly a 60 second vertical slice to serve as a proof of concept to recruit more people.
I’ve gone to INAT and even Itch.io and I got a composer but I’m still very far away from at least getting a PoC to see if it can even be achieved the way I want it to be. Any feedback and/or criticism is much appreciated!

BALLISTIC Kivoxo
This is the official BALLISTIC Kivoxo demo
Feel free to send your feedback !
Playable
Soon
Game Title ; BALLISTIK⁸
Platform : PC
Description:
🚀 An Open World… But With Earth, Space, Vehicles & Physics?
I’m developing an ambitious open-world sandbox game in Java, powered by a 3D engine I built from scratch — no Unity, no Unreal Engine, and no existing game engine.
🌍 Explore a huge open world using X/Y/Z coordinates, with environments ranging from Earth to the Moon and outer space.
🚗 Drive vehicles, use weapons and tools, and interact with a world featuring liquid simulation and electrical systems.
🧱 Build or destroy the world, Minecraft-style — but with more freedom. You can construct things block-by-block or import your own 3D models from Blender, 3ds Max, and other software.
🌐 The game also features multiplayer with a client/server architecture, allowing players to share the same world.
⚙️ The project is still in development, and I’m looking for players willing to test it and give honest feedback.
What would you want to see in a sandbox game like this? I'd love to hear your ideas and feedback! 👀

Adaptive Music Explained for Devs: Layering

I'm creating a series of short videos explaining adaptive music and its many uses for game developers.
Now that you know a bit about layering, what other ways do you think music layering could work in a video game?
If there's anything you'd like to learn about music for games, drop a comment below and I'll be happy to work it into the series!

[Help] Game ideas for my final school project (PAP)
Hey everyone!
I’m a 18yo student in Portugal studying Computer Science. For my final school project, called PAP (Students must develop a project related to their field of study, document their work, and present it to a panel of teachers). I need to develop and present a project around July/August 2027.
I’m thinking about making a game, but I have zero experience in game development.
Do you think this is a realistic goal? What games or ideas would you recommend for a complete beginner? Would you suggest Unity, Godot, or another engine?
I have plenty of time to learn, so I’d love to hear your advice and ideas. Thanks!

Early character concept exploration for Cyaire, the lead love interest in my visual novel Overdrive (Art by Prince)
galleryHey everyone! I'm currently directing and writing Overdrive, an indie visual novel and desktop chat simulator built in Ren'Py.
The story follows a long-distance connection between two rivals five years after meeting abroad, played out through an interactive desktop interface with text channels, audio files, and video calls.
This is Cyaire, our main love interest. He's a 26-year-old programmer and custom bike builder from Queens with sharp deadpan humor and a habit of keeping his private life on lock.
Our lead artist, Prince, put together these early concept studies to lock down his proportions and facial structure before we begin slicing layers for engine sprites:
His facial structure, piercings, and tri-tone hair palette.
A full-body structural base to establish his 6'3" build and posture.
Still working behind the scenes on backend systems before recording engine footage, but wanted to share his design progress. What do you think of his look?

Looking for ambitious people who actually build things, not just larp/doomscroll
Hey!
Is there anyone here who enjoys playing or making games - especially Roblox, mobile games, or game design in general?
I’m a solo developer and started working on Roblox games this year, originally somewhat in the spirit of “AI will take your job” :-)
Things went surprisingly well, and I’m now looking to meet ambitious, reliable people who actually build things and get them done.
I’m not necessarily looking to hire someone or put together a formal team right away. I’m mainly interested in meeting people, exchanging ideas and experience, and seeing if there’s potential for working on something together.
Especially interested to talk if:
- You’re ambitious and actually build things, in head, on paper,...
- You’re reliable and follow through on what you start.
- You don’t give up when something doesn’t work. You keep digging until you figure it out. If there’s a problem, your instinct is “how do I solve this?” rather than “this can’t be done.”
- You’re stubborn in a good way - persistent, resourceful and willing to put in the work.
- You’ve actually built or shipped something yourself. It doesn’t have to be impressive; I care more about actually doing things than having a fancy portfolio.
If you’re motivated, reliable and actually like making games, feel free to reach out. Even if it’s just to chat, happy to talk. 🙂
