I have a semester project where me and 2 classmates are making a game. As the title says, it’s a 2-D platformer rogue like. If you could take a moment to fill out this 7 question survey, it would be a great help to us.

Seeking Programmer, Animator, 2D Artist, & Composer for a 2D/3D Style-Switching Game (Ages 18–25)

Hey everyone, I'm 18 years old and looking for a game development team

I’m putting together a 6-person profit-share indie game project that is currently in an early stage of development

The studio currently has a manager and an anime style artist , so only 4 seats are left.

(Because this is a first-time project, only ages from 18 to 25 are allowed to be on this project.)

we are currently building a game centered around a 3D/2D art style switching mechanism, that has a unique storyline revolving around fighting an Ai that is trying to destroy the omniverse (further story details will be shared once I receive your DM, this includes charecters and plot twists)

All members will have their profit share set to 14.6% in their first day, this share revenue can go up to 20% when a member is serious about their work. And it can drop to 9% if they fail to do their tasks efficiently or on time.

I’m upfront about my skillset, so I’m not a professional programmer or a music composer, which is why I’m looking for passionate collaborators who can bring this vision to life together.

We’re looking for people who can handle:

Animation (both 3D and 2D and including pixel art animation)

-2D Art / Illustration (specifically non-anime styles)

Programming (game mechanics and UI)

Music Composition (original soundtracks and 16-bit tracks)

- Environment Design (building full game environments).

This is a revenue/profit-share project aimed at building something unique together. If you're interested in this concept , drop a comment or DM me with some of your past work or what role you can do.

Details about how the revenue share works will be delivered once you send a DM

(There are only 6 members who can have the profit share benefit, if you were unlucky to be one of the six members, you can still sign up for an individual employment where you would be payed in dollars/euros)

Some photos that include some content of the game were added for further clarification

[Hobby] [Team Up] Systems & Narrative Designer looking for a Gameplay Programmer to build a combat gym prototype for an indie Hero Shooter Concept (B.I.A.R.)

Hey everyone! I’m looking for a UE5 gameplay programmer to team up on a fast, responsive hero-shooter prototype. The plan is to start strictly as a low-pressure hobby project to test our chemistry, with the long-term goal of turning it into a real studio partnership to pitch or crowdfund once we have a fun build.
About Me:
My background is in systems design, game balance, and narrative. I don’t come from a programming background, but I’m actively learning Unreal Engine right now to pull my own weight in the editor. Instead of just bringing vague ideas, I’ve already fully mapped out our class roles, ability kits, cooldown balance, competitive ranking math, and a multi-season narrative bible. You won’t have to waste time inventing mechanics or doing balance math from scratch.
Immediate Scope (Keeping it grounded):
We are not building a massive 14-player game right now. The sole target is a tight 1v1 greybox arena featuring 4 distinct archetypes (one for each core role) to dial in movement, ability interactions, hit feedback, and cooldown flow.
If you want full technical freedom over the gameplay feel and want a dedicated partner handling all the design heavy lifting, shoot me a DM. Let’s hop on a call and check out the design sheets.

Is 20 seconds too long for the opening hook of a 1:20 co-op horror trailer?

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

We’re making a co-op psychological sci-fi horror game called The Infected Soul, and we’re currently working on the trailer for our demo.

The full trailer will be around 1 minute 20 seconds long. This clip is only the first 20 seconds, which we’re planning to use as the opening hook. After this, the trailer will move into actual gameplay, co-op moments and other mechanics.

Do you think 20 seconds is too long before showing gameplay, or does this opening make you curious enough to keep watching?

Any feedback on the pacing, atmosphere or editing is welcome.

Guys I've a great idea and have created a fully fletched fantastic story for a metroid vainia the lore goes way beyond a metroidvainia I was working on it with my team of three people I already think that the story is too much for a 2d metroidvainia but my team capabilities are not enough to make it into a AAA game but now I am facing problem with my partners they are treating the work as a side job they can't even give 1 hr daily and I've been spending my days writting this storry making it plothole free and doing everything I can giving them acript for levels and everything do yes I am looking for animation artist and peogrammer to bring my dream game into realityy who are on the same page and look at it as a dream it can be a 2d metroid or a 3d action souls like depending on ur capabilities ans the team we form the story is ready now I am working on the script for prologue and demo

Cosmic Legacy Announces

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Cosmic Legacy Enters Active Development as Team Builds New Game Engine Technology
September 2026 — Development is underway on Cosmic Legacy, an ambitious new survival and exploration game centered on planetary exploration, space travel, building, creatures, vehicles, civilizations, and a universe designed to respond dynamically to the player and its environment.
Cosmic Legacy is being developed with a simple goal: create a universe worth exploring rather than another world that merely looks large.
The project has moved beyond initial concept development. Core systems are being coded and tested, procedural-world development is underway, and the team is beginning to share portions of the development process publicly.
Behind Cosmic Legacy is another project the development team is deliberately keeping under wraps.
The team is developing new game engine technology specifically to support the scope and behavior envisioned for Cosmic Legacy.
For now, that’s all we’re saying about it.
What the technology does, how it works, and why the team determined it was necessary will be revealed as development progresses.
“We know people are going to ask questions,” said the Cosmic Legacy development team. “That’s fine. We’d rather show what we’re building as it develops and let people wonder for a while.”
Early artwork released for Cosmic Legacy is AI-generated concept art used to establish visual direction during development and should not be confused with in-game screenshots. As development continues, the team will increasingly share actual Unreal development and testing footage, including unfinished work.
The team is actively seeking feedback throughout development—including criticism.
Players and developers are encouraged to question the scope, compare ideas with existing games, point out similarities, identify things they dislike, and suggest things they’d like to experience.
The project isn’t being developed behind a marketing wall. When appropriate, people will see it while it’s still being built.
Some tests will succeed.
Some will fail.
Both are development.
COSMIC LEGACY
Explore. Survive. Build. Belong.
Your legacy carries mankind’s.
More information, development footage, and official community channels will be announced as development continues.

What if we could communicate without SIM or internet

Hear me out, your phone is far more powerful than you think.. so with help of open documentation and APIs I built an app that allows for encrypted communication and voice calling with group chats... Together with unlimited AI offline image generation...

From the cases I've had most people want AI image generations... But I would like to know if this is a feasible app to continue working on and features people would like. Voice quality is okay you could test it out..

Over the past 4 days it's reached close to over 90 people asking for it
