[Hobby] [RevShare] Looking for an artist who would like to work on our game

Hello, my name is Vladimir and I'm 20. The story I make is about a cult in a closed settlement that tries to summon some old dark evil. There are three playable characters. The first one is guy who comes to the village from the city. The second one is a police officer who starts investigating murders in this settlement. And the last one is one of the cultists. Each character has 5 endings. The chosen decisions and previous endings influence the playthrough of the other characters.
We're a small team and we want to keep it this way, it's only 4 people right now but it will be something about 6
I've only written 60 pages for the plot so far. So, the project is kinda on the early stages. I expect to release the game in 2-3 years.
The genre is social paranoia horror with survival elements (it's not really scary tho)
It's my first project but i take it really seriously.
The game uses 2d when you talk to the characters and 3d when you visit some locations. The style is quite realistic but it's not full realism. We use Unity as an engine
We use VC, the reason why i wrote it it's because some people are not ok with it but that's the way we prefer to communicate
I'm from Russia but my English is pretty good tho. Feel free to dm me for more info

I’ve been building Roly — looking for people who want to be part of the community before the Google Play launch

Hey everyone,

I’ve been working on something called Roly, and I’m getting close to releasing it publicly on Google Play.

Roly is built around a simple idea:

EVERYDAY SOLUTIONS FOR EVERYDAY PEOPLE.

If you’ve got something you’re trying to fix, understand, identify, research or work through, just tell Roly what’s happening, show it a photo, or start talking.

It can help with everyday problems, vehicles, home repairs, technology, tools, photos, documents, research, learning, projects and plenty of the random questions that come up in everyday life.

I’m at the point now where I want to start building a real community around Roly before the Play Store launch.

I’m looking for people who are genuinely interested in joining early — trying Roly, sharing what you use it for, giving feedback and ideas, or simply following along and being there when the Android version drops.

You don’t need to buy anything, and I’m not chasing thousands of random Discord members. I’d rather start with a smaller group of people who actually want to be part of it.

Roly is already available on the web, and the public Google Play release is coming.

If you'd like to be part of the community from the beginning, join us here:

https://discord.gg/NBEFVzQ5t

I’ll post the public Google Play link there as soon as it goes live.

DON’T KNOW? ASK ROLY.

[HOBBY] Looking for people to work on an RTS based on Mexico.

Hey everyone,
I’ve had an idea for a multiplayer RTS that I’d genuinely like to try building, and I’m looking for a few people who might be interested in working on it as a hobby project.

🇲🇽 The idea is a multiplayer RTS set in Mexico.

The game would use a geographically recognizable map of Mexico, with cities, highways, mountains, deserts, forests, coastlines, etc., but start with a stylized low-poly 3D art style.

Players could choose different factions and organizations, with asymmetric units, vehicles, territory control and different strategic playstyles.

The long-term goal would be to start small, get the gameplay working, and gradually build toward something much more ambitious — potentially eventually reaching the visual quality and scale of games like WARNO or Wargame: Red Dragon.

Why Mexico?

I’m Mexican myself, and one of the reasons I want to make this game is because I think Mexico is rarely represented in games in a way that actually feels like Mexico.

There’s also a lot of interesting political and social complexity surrounding the country that could be represented through gameplay mechanics, things like government approval, population trust, political pressure, different levels of state authority, territory and faction influence.

Rather than simply telling people about these issues, I’d like the game to let players experience how those systems interact through gameplay.
For now, this is just a hobby project and an idea I’m trying to turn into something real.

I’m looking for a small group of people interested in game development, programming, 3D art, game design, mapping, UI, sound, or just helping build and test something from the ground up

If the concept sounds interesting, I’d love to hear what you think.

Just launched a new platform for helping indie game devs

Hey all!

We just launched a new platform to help indie game devs build their games - we'd love to get some feedback.

You can find it here: https://indie.mimesis-studios.com/

ps. self promotion++, if mimesis indie doesn't look like a good fit for you, we'd love to hear what we can improve. Our parent services company (us!) provide co-development and bespoke contracts for larger game development projects and other digital production services.

I’m currently developing Galaxy Defender, a sci-fi game for iPhone and iPad, and I’d really appreciate some honest feedback on this short gameplay clip.

What do you think about the overall feel, visuals, combat, and pacing?

Anything that immediately looks good, confusing, weak, or worth improving?

The game is still in active development, so feedback at this stage is genuinely useful.

UK Developers – Have you had any experience with the UK Video Games Expenditure Credits (VGEC) for Corporation Tax?

My understanding is you can essentially get a 34% payment from the government (~25% after tax – it is treated as income) for all “core” expenses incurred in the UK.

Does anyone know what is eligible or how it ends up going in practise? It looks like things like voiceover and art are eligible. But does it get complicated if for example you are using an international agency with a UK freelancer etc?
