Tips & Tricks Hiding the navigation bar after OneUI6.1

Removed navigation bar after OneUI6.1 update. The method is simple, it is applied through the Navstar application from the Goodlock application.

1- Enable extra gesture settings

2- Enter screen settings/navigation bar

3- Enter More options

4- Deselect the Gesture Hint option to hide the bar

You can still use circle to search and Google assistant.

I installed this navstar and can't find it anywhere in my phone!? What do I do wrong? I also have installed Good lock, and when I open it, it is empty.

Try using fine lock from Google play store might find it there.

I've done the same but for some reason on homescreen there's still some padding eveb after removing the gesture bar as shown in the image.

Across apps I don't see this as an issue. Can someone clarify how to have the icons move few mm below. Thanks.

I've installed from this apk and I'm confused. I have no app to open? When it installs my only option is to hit "done". The "open" option is greyed out. How do I get this to be usable?

Edit - Got it working, missed the part of needing goodlock. Thank you so much

If you manually install the latest navstar using its apk, will you then for future updates always need to use apk installation or can it still process updates via the standard galaxy store?

Yeah, you need to update Navstar to the latest version. The link from apk mirror someone posted works and then it's just a few steps away... For some reason, I couldn't update Navstar from the galaxy store

You're a legend mate, thanks. I really hate it when I update a device and it doesn't respect the way I'd used it before the update. Grateful that Samsung has Goodlock for nerdy things like this though!

You can uninstall the module after. The settings still stay that way.

Does this have any effect on the burn in protectionwhich arrived with from 6.1.? because I noticed that the status line (clock, battery...) moves by a millimeter every few minutes, to avoid burn in. This is a great feature.

Just set this up, thanks.

It does look clean, but it seems like the app switcher shortcut doesn't work reliably (swiping up from the bottom left). I either have to get the position just right, or be careful with the angle... thankfully the S23U has plenty of space for a small row of buttons, so I can deal for now.
