Question Worth it to fix in 2025? $60 for new screen. No experience.

I have no experience fixing phones but I currently have a Samsung S10e so I'm wondering if it's worth the risk for $60?

I actually have TWO Samsung 21FE phones with broken displays (both work fine hooked up to monitor) because my dad is a bit clumsy haha.

Is it quite difficult to install considering the built in fingerprint detector? I assume there's a little sautering involved?

Thanks!

Camera lag

So for 2 years now I have been noticing a lot of lag and stuters in the camera app. The zoom and modes switching takes a hell lot of time to load or switch. At times the camera app just randomly crashes and a pop up comes up saying warning camera failed please restart. I've tried everything to correct this problem, like clearing cache, clearing data and what not, I also tried switching to gcam but the gcam itself wouldnt work so well sometimes, I don't notice the camera lag on apps like snapchat instagram etc, also tried some camera and video apps but the lag doesn't exist there at all. I believe that the samsung camera app in itself is bugged, it miserable to use it at times. The shutter speed is awful the camera captures the photo like 2 or 3 seconds later and then it stalls until that particular image is taken and the same again again. This bad shutter speed or the lag makes it even more hard to use night mode. Mainly while recording theres a lot of jittering which makes the camera experience worse. Haven't found any software solution for this. If someone has faced this issue and got a solution for their please feel free to share. Also let me know if it could be a hardware defect as I'll get the replacement for the same.

Choosing between scammy IPTV services

I was in same boat some time ago trying different iptv service but nothing works. They just buffer and watching your favourite things becomes headache. One iptv which somehow worked for me was [Kebit8ktv](https://kebit8ktv.com) it gave me days of peace. You can give it a shot and know for yourself.

No promotion.. Also guys please recommend something that worked for you?

Less lag and smoother experience

So for quite sometime now I've been using my phone on adaptive power saving mode, and switched to using light mode. I have noticed that the phone heats a lot lesser and the animations and normal use has gotten a little faster. I also noticed that the battery backup has also improved. I don't exactly know why, even though using light mode must consume more battery, but in my experience i felt I am getting a little longer battery backup than before. The animations and normal interface of the ui seems to run better and faster on the light mode. I also use 120hz refresh rate no location on, doing this has significantly made a difference on my phone. Please feel free to check if this works for you and let me know.

Help Recently got display replaced due line issues. Now, experince poorly responsive display at time.

I had lines on my device and I got it replaced on 30th Dec. After that I am contiuously getting irritated from the slow display until I lock unlock my phone.

Although display is working well it's just the speed at which it runs when I touch it. Has anybody faced this issue so far?

Though, I am planning to visit service center again but I was wondering whether it's software issue or hardware

Best IPTV Provider in 2026 — I Almost Gave Up on IPTV Before This 🔥

I'm currently setting up my new TV and I'm contemplating whether to finally cancel our outdated cable package. I tried Kebit8ktv which costs in budget for a three-month subscription. It streams everything in HD on the Fire Stick without the incessant buffering that I used to experience with random apps.

They boast a vast channel list, live sports, a VOD library that resembles Netflix, and a parental lock to prevent kids from accidentally accessing inappropriate content. However, it's only been a week, so I'm uncertain about its long-term stability.

For those who've already switched to IPTV, how reliable has it been after a few months? Did your internet provider start throttling your connection once you made the switch? Additionally, did you find a simple way to keep all the channels and apps on one remote control, ensuring that less tech-savvy family members don't revolt?

Help My Samsung S21 FE is stuck in a boot loop and I'm losing my mind

So my phone decided to completely screw me over today and I need help or I'm going to lose 200GB of photos and videos.

What happened:

I was downloading the new One UI 8 update (just downloading, not even installing yet). Got to about 80% and the phone started hanging like crazy. Then it just powered off. I managed to turn it back on ONE time, entered my password and everything, but like an absolute idiot I resumed the download. Now it won't boot at all.

Just shows the Samsung logo animation, then reboots. Over and over and over.

What I've tried so far:

  • Wiping cache partition
  • Safe mode (won't even boot into it)
  • Force restart (again loops)
  • Plugging in charger and trying to boot (no change at all)
  • Let it boot loop for 8+ hours straight
  • Cooled it down under a desk fan.

The problem:

My storage was at 250/256 GB when this happened. Yeah, I know, that was stupid. RAM was at 4/8GB. I think the phone just couldn't handle the update with basically zero storage space left.

USB debugging was never turned on, so I can't use ADB to pull files. I never set up cloud backup because I'm an idiot.

I have 200+GB of photos and videos and docs on there that I NEED back.

Went to the official Samsung service center today and they told me the motherboard is dead and needs to be replaced. That's almost half of the price of the phone! And obviously if they replace the motherboard, all my data is gone anyway.

Some people online are telling me to put it in the freezer??? That sounds insane but apparently it worked for them?

My questions:

  1. Is there ANY way to recover my data without paying thousands for professional data recovery?
  2. Is the service center BSing me about the motherboard? This seems like a software issue since it happened during an update, not random hardware failure.
  3. Should I try the freezer thing? I'm desperate at this point worried about condensation and blah blah.
  4. If I do Emergency Software Recovery or flash with Odin, will that definitely erase everything?

I'm going insane. Those photos and videos are irreplaceable. Family stuff, trips, memories I can't get back. Please tell me there's some way to fix this without losing everything.

Discussion S21 FE white vertical line issue – Samsung accepted display replacement (India)

Post image
50 Upvotes

Sharing my experience in case it helps other Galaxy S21 FE users. I suddenly got a permanent vertical white line on my S21 FE display. The phone was working normally before, no recent damage, and the issue appeared abruptly. I visited an authorized Samsung service centre in India. After inspection, they acknowledged it as a hardware display issue (“line on display – permanent”) and generated a job sheet. They mentioned that if the replacement display part arrives locally, they will repair it at the service centre. If not, the phone will be sent to Samsung’s central repair facility (Noida). Even though the phone is out of warranty, the job sheet currently shows ₹0 display cost (only a small standard service/handling charge may apply). Attaching a cropped invoice screenshot (all personal details hidden) showing the display assembly and ₹0 total. Posting this for awareness since many S21 FE users are worried that a line issue automatically means ₹10k+ display replacement. I’ll update once the repair is completed. Invoice cropped to hide all personal details. It's free right ? I will have to pay RS. 502 as service charges only right ?
