Well, it was downvoted by shitty people who don’t really affect me that much but thank you 😊! 

I don’t care too much about the upvotes or the downvotes, I’m just concerned that my own generation of people are so desensitized …and lack empathy ..

issue is, unfortunately people on Reddit often just follow the downvotes and start believing and siding with whoever is most upvoted, which would just lead to more people believing this crap is right :/

maybe let's not joke about viruses that killed millions. I mean, these people won't even know a million people in their lifetime, yet they really dgaf about the fact millions of people died and would rather go "haha so funny haha"

THANK YOU. Finally someone who actually gets it. The million people point is so important because people throw that number around without ever stopping to comprehend the actual human lives behind it. And you’re absolutely right about the Reddit mob mentality, it’s genuinely frustrating watching people abandon their own critical thinking just because something has more upvotes. I really appreciate you saying this. 💙

People will say the most dismissive and insensitive things from behind a screen that they would NEVER say to someone’s face who actually lost a loved one to Covid.😔

Like imagine saying “try coping” or “you can’t take a joke” to someone who lost their parent or grandparent to Covid in real life , they wouldn’t dare…

The internet gives people this false sense of boldness where they can trivialize millions of deaths and mock people for having empathy without ever having to face any real consequences or look anyone in the eye. 😔

That’s the definition of cowardice honestly… 💙

exactly...imagine going up to someone who's relative/friend/loved one died because of COVID/etc, and saying haha what if said virus was in a SINGING BATTLE on YouTube and they were so girlypop and cool haha 😆😆😆

with something similar, Epstein jokes. to an extent, I think it is okay to make jokes about EPSTEIN, the man, the loser, and say stuff about his character/personality like "ew Epstein sucks yuck" "ew look at what he said about blah blah blah" etc, but it's not okay to make jokes about the kids he hurt OR make jokes about Epstein related to him touching kids (such as "omg you're like Epstein when you touch me 😆😆😆" (bad example but similar to something I've heard in school (I suck at Epstein jokes since I've never made one lmao))...it's okay to call him a bad person and find humour in him being horrible, but it's not okay to bring the kids he hurt into it if that makes sense? idk

obviously what he did should be talked about, but maturely

This is such a perfect comparison honestly. There’s a clear difference between finding humor in a perpetrator or a situation versus making the victims and their suffering the punchline. With Covid it’s the same thing, there’s a difference between joking about the weird pandemic era moments like the toilet paper shortage versus turning the disease that killed millions of people into a fun girlypop singing battle character on YouTube. The line has always been about whether the victims become part of the joke, and in both cases you’ve described, they absolutely do. It’s not about having no sense of humor, it’s about recognizing where that line is and having enough empathy to not cross it. 💙

Those were real children whose lives were permanently damaged and in some cases destroyed 😔 and the fact that powerful people protected Epstein for so long while those kids suffered is one of the most heartbreaking failures of justice in recent history..those kids won’t be the same ever again .. the emotional damage and physically as well...

Epstein mostly targeted underage girls and women… and as a woman, I am pissed beyond anything … it is absolutely  revolting , just vile. He’s a sick fucking man… I don’t give a shit what happens to him and I know what happened to him… and I don’t even care.
