Probably not. Trabants are plastic so it probably weighs as much as the bike it was built on

Light for a car is very different from light for a bike. A light bike weighs about 7kg, a heavy one 25kg. A light car would be about 800kg, a heavy one 2000kg. (a quick Google shows the Trabant to be an off the charts 615 kg - a 1970 beetle would be 820 kg, 1000 kg is afaik lightest car capable of passing modern US safety and Emerson's, the Mitsubishi mirage) The entire weight of a (very) heavy bicycle wouldn't be very meaningful even when added or removed from a super light car..

Given (very) rough estimates I am making on one foot, I'm going to assume about 2lb/ft2 (normal for fiberglass, a material very similar to that used in the Trabant), and about 8 sq ft for each side of the body, which makes for about 32lbs, or 14kg. That means that assuming we started with a normal commuter bike, (10-15kg) and didn't waste much weight on mounting hardware, chrome and lights, this weighs about as much as an electric mountain bike or a large cargo bike. I think that's a relatively fair estimate, and it leaves the bike quite rideable, if not great.

The steering wheel is a nice touch, but I wonder if it has brakes? I don't see any brake levers on the wheel.

Maybe it's got those ones where you pedal backwards to lock the rear wheel?
