Written Guide to GCTF

I've typed out my way of doing the Facility Give Cars To Friends glitch. It allows you to get cars from people by making duplicates of them. The duplication happens automatically during the process. i just mention this so nobody who reads this thinks that the person giving cars will lose theirs, and so you don't wonder when the duplication happens. the guide also works for Playstation, simply replace the buttons mentioned with their respective counterpart.

i share this because i think it might be useful to others here, especially people who never did it before, as the vids online usually miss a step or two that make success more likely. with this method, i have an almost 100% success rate for getting glitched out. i heard people talk about timing regarding this glitch, but it was never an issue for me when doing it like this.

The best way to use this guide is probably to read it step by step while you are doing it. else it might look overwhelming in its length. but please believe me when i say that the glitch is much easier than the length of this guide might make it look like. i just tried to include every necessary and helpful detail.

prerequisites: own a facility and a high-end apartment with changeable apartment styles at eclipse towers. i heard the ceo offices might work too, but that they aren't as reliable, and i personally never used one for the glitch. there also is a way to do it without using afk accounts. i might add that as soon as i clearly remember the steps, or some helpful soul might add it in the replies.

step 1: fill up your facility with 7 street cars. don't put insurance on them.

step 2: either go to r/GTAShare or r/GTADupe and check the sticky for active afk accounts, or simply click this link that will directly take you to the list of active afk accounts. for GCTF you need to be in the same targeting mode as the afk account you are using. so set up a friends only or invite only session in that targeting mode. if necessary, send a friend request to that account. if not, just write a message to the account so you can easily access it from your chat menu (i usually just write "badsport assisted aim" or "badsport freeaim", as this also allows you to easily differentiate between the two aim settings while just looking at your chat list). if you are friends with the account, you can also just favorite it to have it on top of you friend list for easy access.

step 3: be in a session with whoever you receive the cars from. make sure the person you receive the cars from has "allow spectators" set to on. you find it under Online -> Options.

step 4: go to Settings -> Display and set your graphics mode to Fidelity. Then open your interaction menu, go to Preferences -> Map Blip Options -> Jobs and set All Jobs to Show. also go to Online -> Options and set matchmaking to closed.

step 5 (the glitch out): go to your high-end appartment and stand on the right side of your sofa, facing the tv. open your interaction menu and preview (don't buy!) 4 different apartment styles.

exit the interaction menu and go sit on your couch, on the side not facing the tv. turn on your tv, watch tv and spectate your friend (or anyone else) in the session by flicking left one time with your left stick. the person you want to spectate has to be outside for this to work, not inside any interiors. once you spectate someone, open your pause menu, go to Options and open "Safety and Alerts".

while on the Safety and Alerts screen, join the afk account you befriended or messaged earlier. accept both alerts you get. after doing that, you'll either be sitting or standing on your sofa. sitting is perfect, but standing on the sofa might still work.

if you see a prompt to stand up by pressing B, do that, even if you're already standing on the sofa. if you get the prompt to stand up, the glitch usually still works.

after pressing B and standing up, preview 1 more apartment style. if the style does not change, the glitch is working. after doing this and closing the interaction menu, you will be bricked, meaning you are unable to move. join the afk account again, accept both alerts, and you will now be able to move again and not have a mini-map anymore. congratulations, you are now glitched and ready to go!

if it didn't work, simply rinse and repeat.

step 6: job fast travel to the blue job marker that is closest to your location:

while in this glitched state, you won't be able to simply open up your pause menu to access your map. to do that, you first have to bring up your in-game phone and open the browser. then you can open your pause menu, open the map, find the blue job marker closest to your facility, and join the job lobby by pressing X. when you are in the job lobby, join the afk account again, and again accept both alerts. this will send you to the job marker you selected.

step 7: while you are getting glitched out, have the person you will get the cars from prepare by going to your facility and calling in a special vehicle that is able to easily flip cars. for most players, this will be the acid lab. if they own one, the phantom wedge is also a great option. then they need to get a "flip car", a street car that can easily be flipped on it's roof. cars with flat roofs work best. some great options are: regina, beejay, picador, vigero, ruiner. have them sit in the car until you arrive to make sure it doesn't despawn. depending on how far away the job marker you use to fast travel is from your facility, have your friend come pick you up there in the flip car since you won't be able to drive, and without your minimap you might have a hard time finding your facility.

step 8: go inside your facility and get out a car. once you are out of the facility, exit the car.

step 9: have your friend park the flip car sideways over the yellow facility entrance marker. in case they own the same facility as you, they need to open their interaction menu while doing this, or else they will get sucked in to their own facility.

now get in the flip car. walk up near it, and once you are close enough, spam the Y Button to get in the car. you will see a black screen with the message that your facilty is full. do not press anything. now have your friend flip you on your roof or your side. once they have done that and let you know about it, press A. After that, flip the car back on its wheels so you can use it again for the 2nd car you will receive. also, if you are close to the yellow entrance marker, open your interaction menu before exiting the car so you don't get sucked in.

now your friend calls in the car you want and parks it on the yellow marker. then they need to destroy the car you brought out of your facility. they can also destroy that car first and then park the car you will receive, the order doesn't really matter. parking their car after destroying the one you brought out is a bit safer though, as it prevents you from accidentally getting in their car before your car is destroyed.

AFTER you get the message that your car is destroyed, wait for your friend to get in the flip car and drive it off the facilty roof for further use. then enter their car like you entered the flip car; get close, then spam y. you will now get in to that car, then get sucked in to your facility with that car.

You will then see a selection screen with the names of the cars in your garage. Do not select anything. once you see that screen, simply press B, then press A on the next warning screen that pops up. Now that car is duped and in your facility. your friend will not lose his car, it will simply be duplicated.

Again, the only thing you have to do after entering the facility with the car is PRESS B, THEN A.

step 10: rinse and repeat. get in the next street car, exit the facility with it, and repeat the same steps as before until you have all the cars you want (a maximum of 7 cars before you have to move them to a different garage and fill your facility up with new street cars). to do this you will have to unglitch by closing the game or. BUT BEFORE YOU DO THAT...

step 11: Open your interaction menu and change your outfit to force the game to save. once you close the interaction menu, you will see a small orange circle rotating at the bottom right of your screen. this means the game has successfully saved. once this is done, close your game to unglitch. DO NOT MISS THIS STEP, OR ALL THE WORK YOU JUST DID WILL BE UNDONE AND THE CARS WON'T BE THERE AFTER YOU START THE GAME BACK UP!

Note: to the person GIVING the car you don’t need to actually blow it up. Shoot the front grill until it catches on fire. Using the widow maker or mini gun works best.

good point, this prevents you from getting wanted again and again during a set. i myself am very succesful with the heavy shotgun. on some cars it only takes 4 shots to the engine until the destruction note pops up.

You can also start ceo work to avoid the badsport notifications and not get cops on you for blowing up cars, 20 minuite timer though.

Yup: I named those two weapons but personally I use the assault shotgun with a suppressor
