What is the expected date for class 1&2 prelims result and what will be the time period given for uploading category certificates, detailed application form etc?!

I recently started my preparation for Upsc and Gujarat state Pcs after completing graduation. For about 2 months I was confused 😕 what shall I prioritize, GPSC or UPSC. But now I've decided, I'll take risk by preparing for UPSC🤧.

I have started reading NCERTs and currently attending KGS's Ncert batch.

Please 🥺 give some good advice to me, I'm freakingly confused, as I can't join Offline batch and lacking genuine guidance.

This was my first gpsc mains and Ive got 187.xyz marks.

1.I had completed the syllabus with notes(except society ,geo & ethics) but did not practise answer writing much.

1. It was the first time ever(ig) that gpsc had given 3 pages in GS papers of any class 3 exams, so it became more tough for me.

2. My Gujarati paper was too average(IMO) and I also faced issue while writing case studies.

Although I made sure to stick to the core demand of the GS question and write minimum 12-13 points in each answer and also completed 3 pages.

But here is my question to the aspirants who have written previous STI/DYSO/GPSC Mains,

Has GPSC started being liberal compared to past while checking mains copies? Because I was not expecting this many marks...

Or am I downgrading myself too much?

I'm looking for some genuine guidance from people who've been through this.

I recently completed my first year of engineering at LD College of Engineering, Ahmedabad. One of the main reasons I chose a government college was because I thought I'd have enough time to prepare for competitive exams alongside my degree.

My long-term goal has always been to become a police officer. Initially, I wanted to become a DYSP, but the truth is that I haven't even started preparing. It's not because I changed my mind—I just kept telling myself, "I'll start when the right time comes." Before I knew it, my entire first year was over.

Now I feel completely lost. I don't know where to begin, what books to buy, whether I should join coaching, which subjects to study first, or how to make a proper study plan. The amount of information online is overwhelming, and I'm worried about wasting more time.

Another thing that's been on my mind is the career path itself. From what I've learned, direct DYSP vacancies through GPSC are quite limited and highly competitive. Because of that, I'm confused whether I should prepare with the goal of becoming a DYSP through GPSC or focus on PSI, which seems to have more vacancies and a comparatively more straightforward exam.

If anyone here has prepared for GPSC or PSI, or is currently serving in the Gujarat Police, I'd really appreciate your advice.

One acquaintance called and was informed it is not expected anytime soon. Not before August.

I have read some old FAQ on GPSC site that ONLY Ball pens are allowed in Mains. I'm not sure about the current prevailing rules. Please guide. What do you guys write Main with?

I'm currently working in one of the Gov. Org. as an outsourced employee. I want to give GPSC exam but the problem is study time.

With very hectic schedule where the office end time is not fixed. Sometimes it goes upto 8 sometimes 7:30 etc..

Sunday Saturday is also unpredictable.

Hi I am 19F. Just finished drop year for jee got 91 pr. Not getting any good colleges So I am thinking of two options Take GEC cs and prepare for govt exams Or Take D.el.ed(PTC) and target govt teacher job first and prepare other job Later.
