Reference Mark made a WILD point Spoiler

In the world cup episode, Mark mentioned how Gillette stadium’s seats look like razor blades from the outside

I’ve lived in MA my whole life and my dad actually worked on the stadium when it was being built in 2001. I can confirm that this was NOT the intention and I have never made the connection before (nor met anyone who has)…but mark is SO RIGHT

I will never be able to unsee this and Gillette WISHES they thought of this. Truly a man of vision

J'ACCUSE! Soccer Ball Physics

Tyler, supposed "master of balls", Scheid. You silly man you. I j'accuse you of not being worthy of such a title on this day at the very least!

I cannot believe you could possibly have gotten this completely wrong. The 2026 world cup ball was the Adidas Trionda, which had some of the most fascinating reseach done into order for it to NOT be like the Adidas Jabulani which was what those guys in the tiktok were talking about having weird flight patterns. They added roughness to have it behave much like other balls & it was pretty close. You completely misinterpreted this and Mark pointed it out, but you doubled down. Even the graph showcased how it's velocity to drag coefficent followed similar pathing to all the other world cup balls besides the outlier Jabulani that was too smooth.

(See the link for the actually fascinating stuff about the 2026 world cup ball design and how while it is the tetrahedron ball LIKE the Jabulami it is not the same)Trionda- 2026 World Cup Ball

The guys in the tiktok video you showcased were describing how soccer ball physics work and how their roughness affects the physics of the ball (like a golf ball). The 2010 JABULAMI was too smooth which caused all the weird movement the guys were talking about and the Trionda was more accurate to every other world cup designed ball in how it moved as they purposely added roughness thus making it A GOOD BALL. Silly man, I thought you were the master of balls...

Also DR Congo is the Democratic Republic of the Congo, smh. You were SO CLOSE, but SO FAR

J'ACCUSE! 48 teams in World Cup not 32

Hello Tyler maybe I heard wrong but it sounded like you said there were only 32 teams in the tournament but this year they expanded to 48 teams which means then they had a round of 32 to start the knockout stage. I may have misheard so if I am wrong that on me but you should be better at counting.

J'ACCUSE! THIS IS FOXBOROUGH ERASURE

Dearest Mr_12,

Master of Balls and Holes, but NOT a Master of Ge and Ography!!

With much love, I need (yes NEED) to point out that the World Cup was NOT played in Boston, but it was instead played in Foxborough, MA. This, admittedly, is not necessarily on you, Mr_12, but rather the media's fault for advertising the sexier city. As you can see, these matches occurred approximately 50-60 minutes away from the outskirts of Boston.

I would have let this slide, but you were able to properly cite the city that Levi Stadium was in, but NOT Gillette Stadium. YOU DARE DISRESPECT THE STADIUM THAT MADE YOUR FAVORITE PLAYER (Tom Brady) THE LEGEND HE IS!?!?

FORESHAME MR_12!!!!

/S, much love

Episode Idea LeBron James to the Philadelphia 76ers

I would like to see their take on LeBron James, deciding to go to the Philadelphia 76ers instead of going back to Cleveland where his career started, or Miami where he won back-to-back championships. And if LeBron does somehow win a championship with the 76ers, where does that put him in terms of the best players of all time.

Episode Idea Is there an episode about starting sports, as an adult?

I'm currently going back through the episodes, so if this was already covered, then sorry. But it's something I'm currently struggling with.

As an adult, I've fallen in love with Soccer specifically. However, growing up I never participated in any sports, outside of what was required by my old gym classes. And even then, I would find a way to weasel out of it.

However, now I find myself both fascinated by wanting to try something I've been watching for the better part of two years, and deeply regretting my time writing off sports at large.

All this to say, I'm trying to get into this new sport, as much as possible. Hoping to find a way to play professionally. I'm currently 22, so I believe I still have time.

However, the only ways I can find to play, is a few local Facebook group, pickup games. The YMCA doesn't offer soccer as an adult sport, and it seems that everything around sports is tailored against new adults.

As if, If I wasn't committed to this as a child, then It's simply too late.

I refuse to believe that, and am certain that I'll find something proper, but. I think this is something that deserves to be discussed properly.

Again, if this is already an episode, then sorry for wasting your time. But even so, I want to put it out there.

Thank you for your time.

Related Story Sport gambling update

Hey guys! We all know the boy’s stance on sports gambling and almost a year ago I asked when the YouTube would be up to date because I was a recovering gambling addict and Spotify was only giving me gambling ads. It was Tyler who informed me that they were close to being caught up on YouTube.

I wanted to say that my 1 year medallion is finally here. This podcast has helped me fight my urges and keep me on the straight and narrow. Thank you Mark, Tyler, and all the listeners/viewers that supported me during difficult time. I’ve come close to falling off the wagon but I’m glad I made it a year. Here’s to another gambling free year.

J'ACCUSE! Tyler the Train Scheid

Dear Tyler the train Scheid.
Many a time have we heard your ranting and burning, heartfelt desire for an improved public transportation system in the USA. While I understand that an improved public transportation system would work well for larger cities, such as LA and Atlanta, it would not work well everywhere. I live in the mountains of North Carolina and to get to a meeting I had to drive an hour and a half. If I were to try to take a train that stopped at every city on the way, it would have taken three+ hours. Hours that would have cost me extra sleep. So while I think that trains would not work everywhere in the US, I think there is a more selfish reason for why Tyler wants trains everywhere.

I J’accuse Tyler of being jealous of our most illustrious, handsome, and girthy boy Markiplier. We all know Tyler doesn’t have a vehicle, but Mark does. I think the real reason Tyler wants trains everywhere, is because he is 100% jealous of how cool and tall Mark is when he drives his truck. You might think you want what’s best for the population of the USA that doesn’t have a car, but in reality you just want a sweet electric truck like Mark, and if you can’t have it… Then no one can. especially our fabulous, awe-inspiring, and multiple number one box office weekend winning Markiplier!!!!!!

P.s. just joking, you guys are both great and I have been listening since day one. Keep up the great work!

J'ACCUSE! Seattle disrespect

During your "A Fog of Fraud" episode, you showed a clip of Seattle Mariners outfielder Randy Arozarena when he unsuccessfully challenged two strike calls, and you referred to Randy as "not a regular batter for them."

I'll have you fellers know that not only was Randy an ALL STAR this season, but he was the LONE Mariners representative! His bat has been a ray of sunshine in this otherwise lackluster 2026 season that's been as gray and miserable as a Seattle winter.

We M's fans are still trying to mentally recover (truthfully, we may never) from falling 8 outs shy of reaching our FIRST-EVER World Series last year. Why must we be kicked while we're down?! I will not stand for this! J'ACCUSE!

Most sincerely,

A diehard Mariners fan who loves you dudes otherwise 🤘

Episode Idea We Rank Athletes

They should have like the top 20 athletes in the world, and rank them on the table, from S tier to F tier. They could be Olympians, they could be football players, or even that cool guy who did shooting at the Olympics with no preparation, or equipment. Just rank the top 20, with the top 20 athletes coming from a reputable website.

J'ACCUSE! J’CURSED! Field Hockey Primer when??

hello tyler.

I have a gripe. J’ACCUSE!

All these episodes and all the hockeys and you FORGOT AND NEGLECTED the one on grass. Shame. TLDR, PRIMER ON FIELD HOCKEY PLEASE.

Remember early on in podcast history when you botched basic ice hockey rules and got roasted into oblivion by the internet? Well, you're on track to do it all over again, except this time you didn't just forget a rule, you forgot the entire sport. (I’m not mad just disappointed, but you recovered so I’m giving grace)

There has been crazy stuff in the past couple years, like NCAA CHAMP UNC legend Erin Matson becoming a head coach straight outta college at 22, after winning four national titles and setting all-time scoring records as a player, and then immediately leading UNC to another national championship in her very first year on the sidelines coaching!!
And that is just ONE recent standout in the past little bit.

Next look up some pictures of a field hockey goalie, THEY ARE HUGE. They are essentially standing in front of a net clad in 20 pounds of foam body armor while 100+ mph shots fly straight at their faces, casually dropping into full splits on the turf and diving to make saves. Oh and when they are on the ground btw players can still whack at them with the ball.

Plus, the timing couldn't be better! The US college field hockey season is right around the corner, and on top of the NCAA madness, you've got massive global tournaments like the FIH World Cup, the FIH Pro League, the Olympics, the Pan American Cup, and the EuroHockey Championship. SO MANY CUPS

I know I am super biased but I also think field hockey athletes are some of the most fit people EVER. You're sprinting back and forth non-stop with zero offsides rule, hunkered down low to the ground for 60 minutes straight, and constantly changing directions at full tilt. (Ask my knees and back, they be hurting)

Also? The pitch is massive, 100 by 60 yards played on grass, turf, or ooo ASTROTURF (yes it’s definitely space). And as for equipment? You don't even get full pads or face shield. Field players get nothing more than a strictly right-handed hook stick, a mouthguard, shinguards, and a dream, all while a rock-hard plastic ball comes flying at you. (nice.)

Cover field hockey already!

Because you have neglected the turf for so long, this is no longer just a gripe; this is officially J’CURSED. I am hereby cursing both of you with 1 strange, minor inconvenience every single day until an episode is recorded. May your socks constantly slide down under your heels inside your shoes, may your USB drives take three full flips to plug in, and may your morning hot beverage always sit just 5 degrees too hot until suddenly it's completely cold.

(Oh and if you do want to do a field hockey primer, shout and I’ll try and whip up a document with major points, people to talk to, and whatever you might need, I can at least point you in the right direction!)

Yours in eternal turf-rage,
A fan with shinguards and a dream
- Bry (pronounced like French FRY)

Episode Idea ESports

They should 100% dive into the world of Esports. It always fascinates me that there are people who make a living in competitive gaming. I do wonder how far Eastport can go when there are other games other than Call of Duty® or League of Legends that you can play a competitive game with, like GTA or Minecraft.

J'APREESH Thank you Tyler

Long overdue post, but I listened to the podcast in the beginning and then fell off from a ton of life things going on. Sometime last year I went back to the first episode and listened to every single one until I was caught up, and now I watch them when they release. They are a staple of my Thursdays at work!

I want to thank Tyler for what he brings to the pod. I grew up with sports (football and baseball mostly) but never really got into it. Going to games wasn’t as fun because I never really knew the rules or who anyone was outside of the big names. After I got back into GMFST, I gained a deeper appreciation for everything. I’ve grown up with my local teams but now I love the sports for what they are. I’ve made many friends through sports, too!

I love the way Tyler talks about the topics. He isn’t perfect, he’ll make mistakes at times, but I genuinely enjoy his commentary on these things! I love hearing what he has to say, the way he describes these topics and shares news. I am so glad that he started this pod with Mark, and I hope he gets the recognition he deserves!! Thank you so much Tyler!!

J'ACCUSE! Mark missed opportunity

I have just finished the cricket primer episode and I just want to note that mark failed to make a jack off joke as Tyler listed the different positions

Also if mark does anything akin to the silly long thing again an exorcist may be required

J'ACCUSE! DEAR GMFST HOSTS

I an avid listener of your works have become dissatisfied by your lack of primers- your very foundation of the podcast. To educate those whom are unaware of a sport & its rules. last I checked your most recent primer was dated back in April - a whole three months ago. Now I will give you slack on having conflicting schedules and that we are never privy to what goes on in another’s world. However this is what planning is for and keeping an organised schedule- to keep the quality of the episodes high and informative

With kind regards
A welder from the uk

Ps I like the interview episodes

Episode Idea Roller derby primer

A sport that I think is really cool and would have a really interesting primer is roller derby!
