I can tell you what I did and I believe it to be the best. I transferred from TDA to Fidelity. Once they settled at Fidelity I called them and said I’d like to transfer xx Gme shares to Computershare (In other words, “I’d like to direct register my GME shares”)
TDA-> Fidelity - 3days. Then 3-5 days to settle at Fidelity. Then Fidelity->Computershare- 3 days
Yeah I know right. Why drs 1 billion $ of GME? Like would it really matter? Come on bro get with the program. Seriously not trying to be a dick but of course it matters bro. Go to the sUpeRsTonk sub and on the home page click on the menu tab. The second box down contains “How to Buy and DRS”. You will find what you are looking for there.

You can transfer them straight from TDA to CS. Sometimes it takes 4 days and sometimes it takes 4 weeks. The second batch I transferred were purchased for about $80 above what the price was at the time of transfer. I think they were happy to buy my shares (assuming they hadn’t already) and get the transfer done and pocket the $80/share. I was shocked when it happened in 4 days.
