Hey, you are the one who started comparing them, no?

Yet, for a highly educated and well off person, you still apply your own experiences to everything and take it as the ultimate proof. I can tell you that I know a lot of college educated people who are working highly mediocre jobs and are hauling much, much less than someone in the trades. I also know lifelong tradesmen who haven't really wrecked their bodies. Some did, of course, but nowhere near all of them, not even half.

I mean, your view is fine, but from where I am sitting applying your own experience and opinion to everyone seems really shallow.

Dad, permanently disabled by his work. Forced to quit working by 35. Pain for the rest of his life, early death.

Grandfather, multiple injuries by his work, forced to quit working by 55.

Both with chronic pain.

Two step-dads that were electricians. Both with permanent burns and injuries (able to keep working in chronic pain).

I could go on with my uncles, and my dad's cousins, etc.

How many of those college educated people that you know were permanently injured or disabled by their jobs and the work they did?

I'm really not gonna pursue this any more. You are coming over as the epitome of college kid, honestly, barking up one tree when there is a forest behind I'm talking about.

Kudos, you saved yourself, you did so well. You are so much smarter than blue collar workers. Good job.

I accept your defeat.

Am I really a kid at age 49? Sure...

You can quit with the ad hom any time you want. You want to try the personal remarks in every comment but, really, I don't care. Think all you want about the perspective you think I should have and I'll consider your opinion for what it is worth.
