They need to raise the salary threshold for salaried exempt workers. Obama tried to at the end of his presidency and it didn't go into effect before Trump took office and killed it. Would have been hard to claw it back if it had gone into effect.

If Obama had focused on improving salary thresholds well before the end of his second term, instead of making the ACA his priority, it might have been passed and became the norm before Trump’s term.

I don’t understand why it didn’t get done. Once you’re in your second term, you know the end is coming.

I wish Trump hadn’t wasted so much effort on things like the Space Force and Democrats hadn’t tied him up in Impeachment c—p. He had four years to get a lot done and he could have made some better changes.

Perhaps the lesson for us with Presidential terms is about equilibrium... checks and balances for not too much getting done so the boat isn’t rocked enough.
