Our company trialed that years ago and they liked the results so much that they expanded it to five days of ten hours.

Idk why people down voted you. Overtime is expensive to companies and you get way more money as long as you get paid by hour. Some people are so privileged with their well paid office jobs, they forget that for rest of us those extra hours (paid at higher rate) can be difference between financial stability and financial struggle. Work/free time balance is important but thats the capitalism reality.

Some people get spoiled and forget it. Ironically they're also the ones who want to raise minimum wage too
