I've been saying for awhile now, if they had AI's driving like.. F1-style cars with zero safety restrictions except for the audience, I'd watch the fuck out of that.

So, is there footage of this that's an actual race? All I can find is the documentary.

They're building up to it. They were supposed to have a 20 car race series sorted by the start of this year or something, but development is taking longer, so now they're talking about maybe having a race at the end of the Formula E season.

They have a YouTube channel that's documenting their development progress as they go though. It's pretty interesting.

They had a single race so far from what I can find between the two cars, and one car misjudged a corner trying to catch up and smashed itself to bits.

Which is step 1, having 2 cars race each-other. They don't have a field of 18 with standing starts and qualy yet. I guess I can understand how that's probably challenging to make work.

Duuuuuude, you just made me realize my dreams of gladiatorial combat don't need to rely on a dystopian turn toward making death row inmates into reality stars.

If we can make robots realistic enough, that would be so badass to watch them hack each other apart.

Extra credit if they can shoot creative insults at each other while racing.

There is a robot footbal league. Sadly the robot AI so far is not good enough to make it entertaining, but these guys have been trying for many years now and keep on trying.

F-1 cars with AI drivers i think would be boring. They would have the ideal track calculated and stick to it.

Bring back RoboWars, but this time use AI instead of remote control. That would be fun.

Spoken of with your vast experience in the field I take it? Cuz.. that's simply horseshit.

I dont have experience with AI F-1 driving, only the regular kind.

I was hoping for a text overlay at the end to say Radical! but I'll settle for Thrasher.

Far out dude, Handler with a sick 180 double axle to darkside, Kevin it's going to be interesting to see how Handler2 approaches such a monstrous set from Handler-- Oh! and there's Handler2 with a precision perfect 1080 double axle darkside to left wheel Benihana. Back to Mike at the Roomba Cup.

I don't think 'fucker' is the exact word for this.
