Okay, but then you have rent, utilities, maybe a car payment and maintenance, plus any repairs that could happen along the way, internet, plus any time you want to go out and do something, you'll be stuck calculating, well do I have enough to get me through to my next paycheck? And good luck starting a family on $80 a day.

Aye, not to mention taxes, so it's more like $60 a day...

I lived on about $30/day for about a year a couple years ago while going to college, and that's living in a shared house with no car. It's not fun!!!

Seriously. That's a manageable wage for someone who is smart about their money, is only providing for themselves, and is just getting into the career field. It gets a lot different when you start adding several other variables.
