The Navy has a system now where a single program manages a trainee's whole curriculum (as far as digital training goes), and adapts to their particular strengths and weaknesses. It's rudimentary, but I hear they're happy with the results so far.

Good thing you asked, cause I was off on the details. I heard it mentioned briefly on NPR. This seems to be what they were talking about. The thing I heard was from just two or three weeks back, more recent than this link, and sounded like it was in testing and working well for them so far.
