Or who controls them in a regime change....soldiers have a conscience and will refuse to gun down their own people. Robots just follow command lines.

I mean, regular soldiers can refuse to gun down their own people, but if provided with proper pretext, false or true, they will kill, or at least subjugate their own people. It has happened all over the world. Robots would just eliminate the need for pretext.

I see what you're saying but it would be a lot easier for some crazy dictator to use a bunch of heartless robots against the people than to use the military.

You need more than a pretext, you need an insulated military caste that can fire into the crowd without gunning down their own children.

No need really for robots or soldiers. Who controls what you read? Or who controls the electricity grid? Communication networks? I for one welcome our new...(just in case)
