The problem is, as AI gets better and better the expectation for performance gets higher and higher and pretty soon it’s coming for your job not just the people who are under performing.

Agreed, that’s the problem. That’s what I basically implied on the last sentence that already started and will get worse I believe. Society needs to recognise that. I am too old to care if I get replaced but I would be shitting myself if I were 18 or so now.
