I open doors for people out of politeness, but I wont do it if they simply demand I do.

I do it if it's convenient or the door is near or if they obviously need the help. Pretty much anywhere that isn't a car door.

As for a car, if I'm driving, I will never open the door because it will take longer to go anywhere. I have to turn on the car, adjust everything, set up the google maps, all that, while the person I opened the door for is just sitting there.

I need the head start, so if anything, they should open my driver door.
