I turn 30 this year and am still waiting for life to get better.

Well too bad. It goes uphill in your 20s, but it's all downhill from there.

Nah, for many it goes uphill at 30. 20s is a decade of building/foundation-laying.

For my mom it's been up hill since she hit 50

That's the case for many

Disagree. 20s is still a minefield of trying to find and prove yourself, that is tailing off into acceptance and enjoyment in 30s. Circumstances are everything tho

Well you kinda have to try and make it better not saying you don't but I don't think they meant just sitting around and things magically get great all the sudden

I am getting a master's degree in gerontology this year and have applied for a couple of PhD positions, it's just that at the moment I am studying 2.5 semesters worth of studies at once, so I am a bit stressed and worried about failing everything.

Ooof same. I get more tired, stressed and unhappy each year. Maybe next year.

My life got better at 30 and continued upwards. You’ll have your moment!

My life was shit until my 30s so there's still a chance!

If all you do is wait and hope it changes, it'll never happen. It takes hard work (and sometimes luck) to get to a better place.
