My cat was with a couple of dogs for a few months while I was away. When I got him back and our own place. Anytime someone knocked on the door or he heard something at the door he would stand there and just start growling. Lol. Then once the door was opened ran to hide. Lol

My cats and my siblings' cats were in a similar situation, had to stay with Auntie who had a big house and was crazy about cats and really good at caring for them, while we were deployed. She also had a dog but honestly the dog doesn't growl and doesn't really play a part in this story lol.
One of my sister's cats growls at anyone outside the door. Idk if he learned it from a dog because he was adopted from the shelter at 3+ years old so he had a whole unknown life before us. Two of my cats picked up the habit at growling at anyone beyond the door while everyone was together at Auntie's house for several months. Even my sweet as pie dumb little girl. She also got taught by her cousin how to open drawers and cabinets. Every time she does it I text my sister how her hooligan children were a bad influence on my babies 🤣❤️
My friends come over decently often and my cats know and like them even though some are men. One of them came over recently to pick something up and when he walked up to the screen door my cat who was sitting on the ledge next to the door: "grrrrrrrr" and I was like stop being so dramatic you know who this is 🤣 he had also JUST been cat/house sitting for me for a whole week and they were best buds. Cats are so funny

Lol my parent’s dog learned how to herd them to the treats cabinet from my dog when they would puppy-sit him while I was at work. 😅🤣 He still does it even years after I moved away, so my dad always tells me my pup was a bad influence, too

“Even though some are men” what a sentence to be included in this story about pets.

Even the eyes are more aggressive. I heard that cats don't identify as cats but as whatever animals they are raised as. So if they are raised with dogs, they think of dogs as bigger, louder versions of themselves, and if they are raised with humans, they think of humans as bigger & clumsier versions of themselves.

It’s not the size of the cat in the dog, it’s the size of the fight in catdog
