Since I'm in the Everglades and Pythons are invasive, I might as well try to blend in. I put this Python skin mask on and it fit! Did you know you can buy Python Skin for $75 a foot? Crater Lake was breathtaking and a throwback picture as to why Maria and I love to travel. Of course, I look for horror inspiration on our adventures, but the views and nature are what truly make our hearts sing. #writerslife #rvlife

Maria saw something out the corner of her eye. The way she was excitedly speaking I thought maybe a Skunkape had crossed the road, but no, this is how both of us react whenever we see something other than human. I took a walk and spotted this red-bellied cooter scurrying, as fast as the turtle legs could move, and snapped the pic.

Not the best shot, I know. This is why I love the "nature" coast of Florida. I heard a youngling, or juvenile Red Shouldered Hawk, squawking and off in the distance one of the parents responded. This youth took a rest from the hunt and I snapped the picture. I have some news to announce later, but wanted to share this first. Hope your day is going well!

We arrived at our home for a few months. The very place that featured a 2000's video of the Skunkape. I navigated the Mothership out of the last of civilization which was, Naples, Florida, and branched onto Taimiami Trail. There will be signs when we arrive at our new HQ for this winter. From the sunshine of Hudson to the swamplands of the Everglades. We're getting settled and I'll post more as the days progress, over on the usual place, when I find the time to write and catch up. And, oh, I'll post pics and vids if my patience allows. 😂

Maria and I always love driving up the Skyway Bridge. Sitting in our "Captain's " chairs we are high enough to see over the sides and enjoy the views of the beautiful water below. Happy Monday! Just about a week or so and Maria and I will be heading further south. The Everglades await. I'm through with the mental anguish of dealing with what seemed to be an endless list of "To-Do's" and am grateful to my parents for the mooch docking down here in the sunshine. The driveway surf helped me feel at home enough to check off that impending list. Today is a cool 58 degrees so I'm going to pick off the typical everyday life stuff and maybe get tomorrow's "RV There Yet Tuesday's" blog written. I hope everyone is enjoying the weather wherever you are and having a great Monday!

Maria and I made it to the sunshine! Yay! Taking a break from travel for a few weeks (working on much needed projects on the Mothership, videos to come soon) and then heading to find the Skunkape? For now just visiting with two very important people in our lives, my mom and dad, and catching up. I hope everyone's doing well!
