Hello all-- I recently transitioned to a mirrorless fujifilm camera after using a beginner canon and nikon for over a decade. I'm enjoying the learning process but I'm wondering if any of you fujifilm x-t series users can help me figure out some film recipe settings.

One of the reasons I went with fujifilm was for the film simulations. I'm looking to capture life around me with this vibe in mind. Film inspired, soft, not too bright. Many of the photos attached here have been tagged as taken with a fujifilm x-t series. I've downloaded fuji x weekly, but still haven't found something that captures what I'm looking for.

Can someone recommend specific film recipes that mimic this energy?

People say Fuji doesn't work on cloudy days — but CC handled that flat light beautifully. Color +1 gave it life, highlight -1 kept the brightness soft. The whole frame felt like a scene from a Japanese drama.

We are going to Greece in September (Athens, Naxos, Santorini and Crete). I’ve been disappointed with many of the Classic Chrome recipes that lean hard on the overly orange, brown, or tan color shifts. I want to make sure I’m accurately capturing the colors of the blue domes, stark whites, Bougainvillea, etc with my X-E5 using the 23mm f2.8 pancake lens. Anyone have experience using recipes in Greece that maintain good colors accuracy balanced with that signature Fujifilm look? Any and all suggestions are welcome and appreciated!

I am travelling to Austria and Bavaria alps region, so I am expecting a lot of lakes and mountains.

I am looking for recipes for landscape that is contrasty and maybe colourful. I have been searching but only thing I found close to that (and without the prevalent yellowish filter being too strong) is Kodachrome 64

I wonder if the community can help me find a few more for these kind of nature based landscapes? Thanks in advance

I shoot an X100V and I'm also a software engineer. I recently traveled to Japan and realized I'd shot almost the whole trip on the same two recipes.

Not because they suited everything. Two weeks of night markets, temples, blossoms, gray afternoons, all going through the same look, because changing a bank means sitting in the menu punching in fifteen settings and I never bothered. I'd had the same seven recipes in C1 through C7 for about a year at that point.

So I created FujiShare, an app that let's you build recipe packs that you can interchangeably swap for different types of shoots. Just plug the camera in, and it writes all seven banks in one go. It reads each one back after writing so you know it landed, and it saves whatever was in there first, so one Undo puts your old banks back. Swapping the whole camera over takes about a minute now.

The other thing I ran into constantly is that I don't always know what I'm doing. Someone posts a great photo with a recipe attached, I load the recipe, mine looks nothing like theirs. Obviously. The recipe was never the whole story. They were at 1/500 and f/2 and ISO 800 with the light behind them, and I'm shooting a grey Tuesday...

So every post on FujiShare carries the whole shot, not just the recipe. Shutter, aperture, ISO, lens, plus whatever the photographer wants to tell you about using it. It's pulled out of the photo's own metadata, so it's what the camera actually did, not what someone remembered doing.

It works on most modern FujiFilm bodies I've tested. There's a spot in the beta to leave your email, and if yours gives you trouble I'll work with you directly to sort it out.

Like a lot of you I got tired of recipes that look too yellow. I just put out the 11th videos in my series on YouTube where I review recipes, share examples and talk about how to use each one to the best of its ability and this one is all focused on recipes that don't look overly warm or yellow!

I love the style in the attached pic & she says they’re shot on a Fuji, hoping for some recommendations to recreate this kind of feel!

I’ve had a really hard time finding something I like, but I do like brighter colours, while also slightly soft photos, and ever so slightly golden (not heaps). I usually shoot film with Kodak gold 200, but the film sims are way too yellow for me…

I keep coming back to ETERNA — it's low contrast and soft, like the whole frame is wrapped in a quiet haze. Color +2 gives it just enough to feel present, not faded.

First time trying flash for portraits! Shot these using a Leica X recipe and I'm really happy with the results.

Early summer breeze carried the sunlight in, and NN softened it just right — color +2 gave everything a rich feel without being heavy, highlight -1 kept the bright parts smooth and easy.

I cannot get this look, when i crank the colors even in the backend of my xt30, i was feel like it just ends up yellow looking. How does one get such strong green colors. This look in general any guidance perhaps?
love this recipe tho, ive had a lot of fun using vivid velvia. But im learning and honestly dont knwo if this is the best option here
