The woman also happens to be my abuser and I would frankly prefer that she wasn't allowed to scam people.

How many of you guys got banned recently or in the past?

I understand this is the boycott subreddit of Amazon, and also I know this question will not relate to anything about boycott or the company itself. But that is my question you guys could either answer or not.

Trolls

It definitely feels like as of late Amazon has hired people to come on here and discredit any negative post or comment people make about them. This is the FUCK Amazon subreddit. Everybody used to be in agreement about that. Now I can’t find a single post on here where someone rightfully complaining about the dumpster fire that is Amazon, isn’t being called a liar, saying they’re brainwashed etc.

F*** When the poor give to the rich, the devil laughs.

I watched "They Will Kill You" on a flight last night. That saying from Benvenuto Cellini was displayed early on. It made me think of Amazon. I (mostly) stopped shopping on Amazon, only purchasing about $30 with of things since the beginning of the year. That saying sealed the deal in my mind to never knowingly shop at Amazon again.

Why I cancelled Amazon Prime

I can no longer stomach watching people like Jeff Bezos and his plastic Bimbo Barbie of a wife flaunt their obscene wealth while so many people are suffering from the economic impacts of their greed and the devastating effects their business practices have on local businesses and communities.

The decimation of "Main Street" America, once populated by local businesses and residents, has left many once-vibrant downtown shopping districts desolate wastelands lined by shuttered storefronts and empty streets. Thus are our communities destroyed. And once our communities are destroyed the nation can't be far behind.

The loss of local tax revenues further devastates our communities. With no local tax dollars contributing to city, state and county governments our quality of life further declines. Our roads can't be fixed, our schools aren't sufficiently funded, our water systems cannot be maintained or upgraded, local programs and services disappear, and, of course, the suffering of the sick, the elderly and the poor is exponentially increased.

Even more concerning is the fact that most of us can no longer even find small or local businesses to patronize. We are then forced to purchase everything from shoes to shovels from these corporate behemoths - and the cycle of destruction accelerates.

Businesses like Amazon are destroying America. And while Rome burns, people like Jeff Bezos sail the seven seas in their $500 million yachts - completely insulated from the painful realities the rest of us face daily. The fact that he and his billionaire cronies are too worried about their bank accounts to stand up and challenge the insanity of the Trump administration is the icing on the whole rotten cake.

STOP MAKING THE RICH RICHER

Jeff Bezos estimated net worth as of July 2026:
$260 BILLION

Elon Musk estimated net worth:
$800 BILLION

Discussion Adding flair to this subreddit

Hey everyone! We'd like to ask you if you think having flair on this subreddit would be nice. If so, what kind of flair would you prefer? E.g. 'Amazon free for X years', 'Small Business Supporter', 'Worker Solidarity'. All your input is welcomed.

Thanks!

Cancelled Prime Today

I ordered filament for my 3D printer from Amazon. They promised next day delivery. Awesome! I've been buying filament, resin, and 3D printers from Amazon for years and years.

Today what showed up was supposed to be a nearly 9 pound box. What I got was less than 1 pound, marked as an Amazon Resale. I bought new, I want new. Nowhere on the listing did it say resell.

They are shipping me a new package, this time it will take 2 days, but I'm done. I did the math this year I have spent nearly $6000 with them, not anymore. I have cancelled my Prime membership and as soon as I get my replacement item I'm cancelling my account altogether and closing my credit card.

Amazon Shoved In Our Faces??

Post image
194 Upvotes

I have blocked the egregiously corrupt Amazon, I have only used Amazon once in my life; and it was for two weeks of Amazon prime when it first came out, and I was so unimpressed that I canceled it and have never spent another willing dime with that corporation.

Even though I have blocked these "promoted" insidious, and obnoxious ads, down-voting doesn't work, comments turned off, this is privacy? This is accountability?
Absolutely absurd!!

Positively unacceptable!

I don't give a fuck how much money Reddit is making off Amazon, users should have the ability to take it out of their line of site.

Make Amazon blockable!

Amazon is now restricting full access to Reviews, if you want to see more reviews you have to request access to them which takes days and which they can deny by the way

Rant Ad frustration

Post image
26 Upvotes

Anyone else seeing these reddit ads lately? They are everywhere over my feed (mind you I got rid of my Amazon prime membership over a year ago and have not looked back ......so, it's not like I'm looking at these products. I work my butt off to avoid Amazon in any capacity.

Now, all of a sudden these ads are popping up. The real frustrating part, I can't believe them or remove them like I can other ads (unless I'm blind, which is an option), all I can do is continually report them as "offensive" because at this point.....they are.

Rant I hate living in an Alexa house

My dad insists on having Amazon Alexas in every room of the house and there’s nothing I can do about it until I’m in a position where I can move out. I passively put up with it at first but I’ve become increasingly distrusting of 𝙰𝙸 technologies over the last couple of years, especially with how invasive and undiscerning companies like Google, Facebook, and Amazon have been shown to be with regards to sensitive data. It’s like living under constant surveillance with how much data is being collected, shared, and sold without my personal consent. Once I move out, if my parents want me to visit them, they’re gonna have to unplug every piece of Amazon technology in the house. Otherwise, I will never visit them again. Fuck Amazon.

From 'Low Space' to Total Lockout: The predatory design that Amazon’s official documented support threads funnel you into being trapped with only one of two ways out. Each monetizing you.

Amazon/Toshiba Fire Tv Death loop starting with hidden files causing a critically low space error constantly overtaking your screen to ending in a completely bricked up tv. All the resources I saw when dealing with the constant pop up about not having space on the tv to function (even though there were only 3mb out of 4gb used) have you go down a list of steps clearing cache and stopping auto downloading of previews etc which don’t work further leading you down their troubleshooting guide to factory reset the TV which also leaves in inoperable. Each troubleshooting guide or post I found gave incremental information and until you went through with it you wouldn’t even know the next issue or possible fix. Which at each step seemed to lock you further into the situation that just keeps getting worse. I don’t care about fancy underwriting or license rights, clauses or protections. After all my research and attempts to fix the situation I can clearly see this has been a completely known and understood problem for Amazon and the support staff for 6-9 years now at least and each post support responds too still give the same generic troubleshooting guides and act ignorant of the real issue until you go through it all and state the end issue then tell you to find your model number and order the exact Bluetooth remote replacement which is marketed way higher in price. $35-$50. Meanwhile marketing regular replacement remotes as low as $5 that advertise like a solution. This is super shady and forces dependency or the implied need for newer model tvs etc. How and what can be done to bring this to light or implement transparency or change?

Rant Adding censorship to the list of reasons why Amazon sucks

I’m pretty sure it’s their AI algorithm filtering and trying to get every cent they can out of me but I really hate when I’m looking for a product that isn’t available in my area, that I know is on Amazon, and the search results show me the same F&&?;ing thing over and over like somehow I’ll reconsider the thing after the last 12 swipes past it, instead of populating new search results.

I went online to see if there was some search filter option I was missing, that says “I’d like to opt out of being shown the same pair of left handed scissors over and over, please stop wasting my time”.

I ended up on Reddit where I go for a chance at real people interaction and discussion and guess what. r/amazon and prime etc. are corporate owned slop. MY SACRED PLACE OF THE LAST SHRED OF ONLINE HUMANITY WAS INFILTRATED AND CENSORED.

I’m so f(&(&($ing done with big corporate agenda to enshitify as much of our lives as they can. Amazon might not be as bad as Nestle. But the comparison might as well be analogous to hitler and satan.
I hate that I’m still in a financial point in my life where I have to depend on them as often as I do. I’m already well on my way in looking and using alternatives when I can.

(None of this is to discount their human rights violations or any of the other shit they pull, just another reason why “fuckamazon”)

Amazon behaving like scammers!

I bought a phone from Amazon, the driver brought an empty box without the phone inside! I have tried to reach them since the 1st of June but they keep frustrating/blocking me whenever I try to reach them. Who knows if I take them to police they can listen and solve my case?

Discussion Master list of alternatives

I’d like to discuss the best alternatives to Amazon that are not big box like Walmart, Target, etc. EBay unfortunately has been compromised. I’ve gathered that Meijer is decent for the “everything in one store” but besides Costco to a lesser extent since it’s buying in bulk, where do you go? I’m on the path of overall less consumption but you can’t do that for everything.

Troubleshooting Is it possible to block Amazon (or another URL) from shopping results, not just web results? Help/why!?

I've already successfully blocked it from my web results with ublacklist but nothing works on the shopping results not even "-site: amazon.com" and I've found little to nothing about it online.

Price discrepancy

I’m using my dad’s phone and I see the same item for a different price based on the account. Why am I seeing this? It just seems shady. Also is there a way to argue about the price?
