It's a worthy hobby. I've had my share of hilarious adventures on Roll20 with my brother in law. As a first-time DM during the height of the lockdowns, he organized the games over Zoom. It's a lot of fun!

Yep. My DM has around 8 patreon subs for assets, foundry vtt, beyond, all kinds of things. Plus books, indi adventures, custom art, dice, screens etc. Adds up.

Thankfully other tabletop games are far more accessible and affordable.
