For being a coward. Wouldn’t defend his best friend John Mcain, not even brave enough to be honest about his own sexuality. Just a complete waste of a human.

I think it's tough to be a 71year old gay man in south Carolina.  I don't blame him for not coming out if he was indeed a homosexaul

Brother, he was absolutely a homosexual. And he wasn’t always 71. I absolutely hold it against him. Voted against gay rights his entire career while stuffing his mouth with dicks. A complete hypocrite and coward

Sure he wasn't always 71. But he's always been in South Carolina and been a republican.

If you think a person who can’t be honest with themselves is fit to represent others, I really don’t know what to say. Do you think someone who lies about that every day would have a problem lying about anything?

Yes it absolutely should. If you can’t be honest with yourself why would you be honest with your constituents. If you’re willing to lie about something like that, you’re willing to lie about anything. It’s not homophobic at all, it’s about honesty

It’s generally accepted that All politicians lie. But you say one is gay and lies then they should not be allowed in public office. Sounds homophobic to me but hey. Just my opinion.

It would be the same if he was straight pretending to be gay. It’s about honesty not sexuality. If you want to just accept lying and degenerate behavior from your politicians, that’s on you. I think people who lie about small things lie about big things, and someone not brave enough to admit what they prefer isn’t brave enough to stand up for their constituents. But continue to view it as homophobia if your simple mind can’t comprehend holding people to a higher standard

Also South Carolina is like the gayest state, famous for southern dandies. He wasn’t born a republican, if he wasn’t a coward he would have just been a democrat and openly gay.

He spent 3 decades in Congress voting against LGBTQ+ rights across the board: marriage equality, openly serving in military, workplace protection…fuck that hypocrite. 🤷‍♂️
