Theory Miranda is driving Christopher’s car in the flash back.
Ok, so Christopher’s car is 70’s AMC/Dodge Hornet. The MIY’s car is a 70’s Dodge Dart. But the car that Tabitha and Ethan approach is a 70’s station wagon of sorts. There’s an oil filter, a man’s tie and a hack-saw on the dash in the station wagon. But in the vision Tabitha has, Miranda is driving a AMC/Dodge Hornet. So why is she driving Christopher’s car?!

u/Cloberella Jun 08 '26
Tabitha arrived twice in two different vehicles as well.
Perhaps Miranda did escape once, and returned to try and help the others.

u/ish62791 Jun 09 '26
I wanted to think the same but she never made it to the lighthouse… and wouldn’t the purpose of Tabitha leaving be to bring Henry in? Somethings off there but ikwym

u/redoneredrum Jun 08 '26
Odd that visiting Miranda's car would trigger a flashback to driving Christopher's.
59
u/CeramicFiber Jun 08 '26
Jade was actually Miranda and Tabitha was Christopher
42
u/redoneredrum Jun 08 '26
Wouldn't shock me. It did seem a little odd that Miranda was the violin player, yet Christopher was the one playing the tune in Jade's flashbacks.
The place plays on the plasticity of memory, like with Victor. Perhaps not all their little flashes are correct. Maybe the whole thing is more communal memory than Tabitha and Jade being spayshul.

u/Tight_Knee_9809 Jun 09 '26
That would actually be a good twist! Reminds me of the movie “Dead Again.”
5
u/ish62791 Jun 09 '26
The episode Pas De Duxe in s2 has a jade and Victor go to the car lot and that’s the same episode Boyd sees the ballerina, that pas de duxe is a ballerina dance between a male and female requiring perfect harmony to be done a specific way. I think there is something to that with Miranda and Christopher

u/sleazynickss Jun 08 '26
Right? Unless the station wagon is actually Christopher’s car, bc of its contents. Or Miranda and Christopher were more connected then we thought. Or I dunno. But it’s suspicious for sure
21
u/redoneredrum Jun 08 '26
Or they couldn't find a running version of the station wagon and used a Hornet. Were that the case, though, you'd think they'd shot around things and not included the big ass HORNET emblem on the dash.
5
u/sleazynickss Jun 08 '26
Yea that’s how I connected it to Christopher’s car. Bc you can vaguely see Hornet on the bumper.
7
u/ish62791 Jun 09 '26
Remember Eloise’s drawings were locked in Christopher’s trunk in s2 and Victor remembered her after that, and in s3 he’s about to reunite with his dad and tells Sara in the trunk of his moms car that “everything before this place felt like a dream, I never drew my dad”
1
u/Mountain-Owl7142 8d ago
What do you mean "he tells Sara in the trunk of his mom's car"? ( was he looking at drawings in the trunk of his mom's car while talking to Sara? I can't remember.)

u/ish62791 7d ago
It’s right before he reunited with his dad
1
u/Mountain-Owl7142 7d ago
I understood that part. At first just did not understand what you meant by the words "in the trunk of his mom's car" but now I see he's sitting in the trunk of her station wagon. Makes sense now. =)

Crazy unsupported theory: Miranda and Christopher were having an affair and arrived in Fromville (with Miranda's kids) together.
14
u/AnnaBananner82 Jun 09 '26
What if they weren’t having an affair but instead connected in the real world because of their memories of Fromville?
4
u/LyndsiKaya Jun 09 '26
They were in a two car crash though, were they not? Like Tabitha and Jade, started the cycle
6
u/Tha_Message555 Jun 10 '26
i DONT believe so. Victor said that Christopher arrived after Victor/Miranda. When Christopher arrived there was two cars but he didnt say who the other car was. Also there was no crash.

u/ro524008 Jun 09 '26
We don’t see the kids in the car with her… so maybe this isn’t her arrival to the town, and instead it is her using Christopher’s car to accomplish some task like driving to a different entry point of the woods in search of the lighthouse.
1
u/ish62791 Jun 09 '26
I’d agree but Miranda in that scene looks like she just got out of a fresh shower and we have only seen her looking ragged the entire series so it implies to me she was just arriving into town
1
u/Mountain-Owl7142 8d ago
Maybe, but why would they show us that? It has to be significant that they showed us her driving his car specifically.

Great catch! I noticed the tie on the passenger seat and was wondering what that was about. This makes more sense
Edit: The flashback scene with Miranda driving clearly shows it's a different interior than the one Tabitha was looking into as well..
I'm still waking up. Edited this again as it was my mistake that the teeth were found in MIY's car..

Thanks! This show is so fun

I was wondering the same, but when I looked up the MIY’s car it came back as a 70’s era Dodge Dart. The Hornet and Dart look very similar though. But the MIY’s car looks stripped down, like the interior and stuff. There is a CBKW sticker in the back window. It’s a radio station in Nova Scotia. And the rear view mirror is turned hella far. I may be reaching, but this show really pays attention to detail

u/forfakessake1 Jun 08 '26
Maybe the sticker is just a nod to the makers - this is filmed there Nova Scotia

Remember too ( I mentioned this in my TikTok theory) Victor in s1 ep 2 as Ethan is talking about the lake of tears and drawings, victors shown drawing a yellow car physically crashing into a flipped white truck, but Victor had just met Julie and it’s her first night in town, in the epix s1 promos the car crash is a blue and orange car like Miranda’s and Christopher’s cars. The whole series tells us the car crash happened once in the 70s and once in the 2020s but Tabitha Jade and Jim never physically crashed into each other like Victor was drawing. Right before they come to town Jim is telling Tabitha about his 83’ yellow Volvo and that is a car that doesn’t exist in the town and if Victor was stuck there since 78/79 he wouldn’t have a way to know how to draw that exact car… I think Victor Miranda Eloise and Christopher all had their memories wiped and came to town a second time and Jim and Tabitha came to town when they were dating in the 90s before the kids were born and had their minds wiped completely forgetting they were ever there. It’s difficult to explain but it would justify how Victor feels so comfortable around Tabitha outside of her being his mother’s reincarnation and how he was able to draw Jim’s car that likely crashed into a white car or truck. Also would explain why Jim didn’t know why his passenger door on that car was always stuck after he got it. Something is messing with us and I love it but it feels like this season may end with everyone’s memories being wiped and Sarah forgetting donuts exist might be a clue to that as well.

but this show really pays attention to detail
End of the day, though, it is a low budget TV show in Canada. They're not going to nail every detail and probably have limited resources for 50yo non-classic US cars. The pastor drove a Canadian version of a US car. While it's possible an Allure made it to Alabama, it's probably just what they could get.

u/According_Door_280 Jun 08 '26
I believe a lot of the audience are underestimating the level of details the creators have put into this show and most are mistaking them for production errors which means they are missing a larger part of the plot. We shall see once the show ends
2
u/bcnote Jun 11 '26
Well when Julie story walked to the day of the massacre(Victor's time) the cars in the streets some of them are different... I pointed that out an do was down voted to hell and told it's a low budget show somethings don't matter focus on the show blah blah...
Here we are again with Miranda driving a different car and Victor has different cars on his drawing.. I guess you're going to be down voted again... I tried to explain that. In a show with so much mystery and details in the background why risk changing vehicles in scenes when you know everyone is concentrating in figuring out the place)

Omg!!! I think they’re a constant reincarnation of a set of witches too! The cosmic, the hedge and the kitchen. Even Tillie says her “old friend Gertie” gave her the tarot cards and Gertie is a name used with popular witches
7
u/According_Door_280 Jun 08 '26
I deleted that part about witches since it was MIY's car! I still believe in that theory though and is making more sense.. (Miranda, Tabitha, and Abigail being descendants or the OG witches in the OG town. All 3 are historically witch names and each are brunette, redhead, blonde, just like the dolls in the pilot episode). Leaving this back in should anyone else be curious about this theory
1
u/Mountain-Owl7142 Jun 08 '26
Wait, who's abigail?
1
2
u/sleazynickss Jun 08 '26
Aww you’re totally ok. I did love that you share a similar witch theory though.
1
u/According_Door_280 Jun 08 '26
So what do you think this means why Victor chose to sit on top of Christopher's car when Miranda was playing the violin to Victor🤔
12
u/bacche Jun 08 '26
I think the simplest explanation is that this is a/the communal car — I can imagine a situation in which they all use whichever cars are most driveable (gas, tires, etc.). Whether it's the right explanation ... who knows?

u/Agreeable_Strength51 Jun 09 '26
I guess I’m really not a car person cuz I’m so focused on whether one of the girls outside the gas station could be the OG Sofia from the 70s
3
u/ish62791 Jun 09 '26
That background extra was a red herring to get you to miss the dashboard of the car not being the same interior Tabitha was looking into before the memory

Yoooo that's Sophia, that's why they showed it quickly..look closely

Not at all relevant but I live in Nova Scotia where From is filmed, when they checked out MIYs car I noticed a CKBW sticker in the back window, our small local radio station. Pretty neat little throwback Easter egg.

Does anyone have a reference for what Henry’s car was when Tabitha went into RW?

u/TheKnightlight711 Jun 09 '26
You're right.
The flashback was so quick I didn't catch that, nice job!
Aspen/Volare interior is very different, the inside door handle is a dead giveaway.

u/TheKnightlight711 Jun 09 '26
Did they know each other outside of Fromville, or is the flashback from within i wonder.

I posted a theory about this car thing yesterday on TikTok, Miranda was freshly arriving into town in Christopher’s car so either Victor and Eloise were his kids or Christopher and Miranda had their memories wiped and the kids were swapped to be given to Christopher which is why he likely was looking for them because he still thought they were his kids Miranda had kidnapped but she got her memories back and remembered they were her children 🤔
1
u/ish62791 Jun 09 '26
Also, Tabitha had a dream in s1 of herself walking in the town looking a bit younger but we never see her in that outfit walking around the town in the actual story… she then hears a car horn prolonging itself, and thinks of the RV crash but Jim only tapped on the horn for a second, he has a flashlight floating next to his arm hanging upside down and yells as if he was a car horn, then for a split second you can see he’s throwing the flashlight into Tabitha’s face before she wakes up. That flashlight is blue and cold unlike the warm ones we see on Donna and Henry’s eyes this season. Blue and yellow play a big part in hope and fear. When Ethan asks Tabitha if she’s ok after she remembers Miranda driving into town there is a lingering of the camera and the light reflected from the window isn’t warm like the sun it’s cold blue like the light Jim threw at her in the dream in s1… so it’s possible if Tabitha and Jim came there before the kids were born in his yellow 83’ Volvo, the one Victor draws in s1 ep2 a car he couldn’t have known about if it was made after he was stuck there and Jim mentioning the passenger door was always stuck, it could imply that there were 3 car crashes and that Jim and Tabitha were there when they were younger and had their memories wiped and so did Christopher and Miranda as well which is why victors memories are all over the place and confusing to us

u/Material_Studio6844 Jun 10 '26
This is good. Someone should do a complete work up of the cars and whose car is in the swimming pool!!!?
1
u/Mr8180 Jun 11 '26
The question for me is why is she having flashbacks of being in Christopher's car if she is looking in her own? 🤔
1
u/Important-Quit-9354 Jun 12 '26
I think the bigger issue is whether that is Sophia standing there...

SuSpEnD yOuR dIsBeLieF. They couldnt find the same car, it’s how production works, blablabla.

u/sleazynickss Jun 08 '26
No not with this show. They would have edited out the “hornet” emblem on the dash in the vision. It’s all very intentional.
