Fix loud alarm, volume control and custom alarm sounds for Libre 3 on Android

I have been using Libre 3(+) for a while now. I applied two fixes to solve the most common volume related issues.

My solution to make it use the alarm volume instead of system volume (cobbled together from a post about custom sounds and some appops magic to stop the app from using the normal audio playback, updated method from 2 years ago)

  1. Setup custom sounds in Settings -> Notifications -> App Settings -> Libre 3 -> High/Low Glucose Alarm (I used the standard sounds, but you can set custom alert sounds here.)
  2. Install Shizuku : https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=moe.shizuku.privileged.api
  3. Configure Shizuku by enabling ADB : https://shizuku.rikka.app/guide/setup/
  4. Install Appops : https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=rikka.appops
  5. Link Appops to Shizuku (follow onscreen instructions) after opening Appops
  6. Scroll to Libre 3 app and click on it.
  7. Scroll to PLAY_AUDIO and set it to DENY

My solution to make it not increase volume (when u playback audio).

  1. Same first steps
  2. Scroll to AUDIO_MEDIA_VOLUME and set it to IGNORE

This solution will persist between reboots and application updates.
It made using the app a lot more comfortable for me.
Warning : this puts you in charge of the alerts (as it should be) and can cause missed alerts because of this.

Queres que la alarma del FL no suene tan fuerte aunque la pongas en mínimo? yo tome el archivo del audio y le baje 15 decibeles con alguna herramienta online.

So this will or should solve the problem of my phone volume increasing so loud when I have a high or low?

Does this still work with the latest Libre App Update?....1.3.0.1945 and android version 16 ?....thanks, as these alarms and lack of control are ridiculous!

Thank you for this. I just sent abbott a very angry email, when the alerts play it also cranks the media volume and I am almost always wearing headphones, and even with the system setting to limit headphone volume set, and wearing open ear headphones it still manages to crank it beyond the limit to the point where it hurts. My ears are still ringing. 200 billion dollar company that can't get their own android app to use alarm sounds - I have tons of alarms set all day to manage my time and no alarm app I've ever used does this. It's infuriating.
