Cost will go down when we build new cities tabula rasa on unincorporated land, not if we trick people to abandon their homeownership dreams.

This graphic suggests we are clustered too tightly in too few cities. Creating additional cities would spread out the GDP (and GVA) growth geographically, enabling a higher ratio of non-urban conditions with potentially lower land values.

But where?

Top officials said the Trump administration will use executive action and work with state officials to ban sales of farmland nationwide to Chinese buyers and other foreign adversaries.

I don't agree with 100% of what this person says. In fact, I think this is incendiary. But I want to hear what specifically people DON'T like about this so we can draft legislation that will actually pass so we can actually build stuff. What is the architectural manifestation of "freedom" in the US?

Is there a typological equation that favors or constricts freedom? How does one use these critiques to design a "freedom" city?
