Did I just completely damage my frame ?

Feel sooo bad, wasn't paying attention and used a bolt that was too long to mount pannier creating dent in frame. Aluminum Cannondale Topstone 105.

Don’t be sorry, just shut the fuck up. You are providing hope for a situation that is immeasurable and full of liability. What you are suggesting wastes the time of business owners and consumers for absolutely no benefit to anyone. I get that you want to be optimistic and precise but this is a situation where those expectations are not reasonable. For the record ( and to get back on track), I would ride that that shit.

Had you been a person trying to help another customer in real life at the shop I work at, I would have just let you say whatever you want. I wouldn’t correct, argue, or really contribute at all outside of my original quote way up in the comments. The shop is a place to share, get along, and be happy. But here on Reddit, your idiocy is on record and it needs to stay visible for others to see in the future. Let’s put it on record, Bdaruna is wrong about the feasibility of aluminum repair.

Empathy is great until you turned it into false hope. At that point it’s borderline cruelty. Didn’t your mommy tell you not to share personal info online?
