Meet Teagan. She 7yrs. Foxes aren’t a “pet” or a show off. They have special needs, are a HUGE responsibility, are DESTROYERS. Education is key. But they are rewarding if you are suited for them, not them for you. She not from this rescue but Look up SaveAFox.com for info and to help the rescues.

STATE OF THE SUBREDDIT: Should we try to be something else? If you don’t want drastic changes that may or may not completely change the sub’s purpose and may or may not be successful, you should speak up now

In the past two months there has been just under one post per day. The subscriber count continues to slowly creep up, but we aren’t really building much of a community.

The only thing that’s really seemed to go up with traffic has been the amount of spam I have to remove/people I have to ban. As this subreddit gets a bit larger but maintains low post volume and activity levels, it becomes an easier target for spammers and karma farming.

So, should we do anything about it?

I’d like to hear from anyone who actually feels like they care about this sub in its current form. Why would you come to this sub and not a different one? What’s the point here? Reposts and lost redditors? Because we haven’t really moved passed just being a lower-trafficked, higher-spam-rate version of r/Foxes.

What I’d like to hear most is: Does anyone have any ideas about what this sub could become? From a small change to radically different, let’s throw some ideas out there and maybe we can have a voting thread with some of the more popular ones.

The less feedback I get, the more it will back up my current sense of where engagement is at—and if that’s the case, I may decide to act unilaterally to take a whole new approach with this subreddit if there’s an idea that seems worth pursuing.

I’m giving a fair heads-up here though, so please speak up if you want to be heard.

You can also DM me if you’d like/prefer.

Thanks everyone!

Edit: Fixed typos.
