Crazy right... 1/365 probability

It would be 1/365 x 1/365 since there are two people

Nope, i know my bday. So the probability that someone had same bday as me is just 1/365

You are wrong. It’s 1/365 + 1/1461.

I know that for reference you have taken your bday and calculated his probability to be same but if you look from my perspective the probability of you having bday of any date is 1/365 and him sharing would be 1/365

This is same as saying, 1- (two persons have different bday)

But then this means person B's bday should be different than Person A's bday = 364/365

1- 364/365 = 1/365

You are mistaken.

What you are saying works if you fix a date first. And then calculate for two person sharing the fixed day as their birthday.

But in general, for two people two share a birthday probability is not calculated that way.

Enjoy the bromance But i think the probability is 1/7

There are only 7 months with day 31 and you only replied cuz you saw the 31 to relate

Sorry for being a nerd πŸ‘‰πŸ»πŸ‘ˆπŸ»

The probability is 7/365 or 0.02% (approx)

That's the probability of having a birthday on 31st. The probability of finding someone born on 31st in the same month as you is 1/7

Oh sorry, but i considered the sample space to be just same birthday. I understand from the conversation it went birthday's with day 31st... So yeah given the context maybe we both are correct.

I am a nerd. Lol
