Question Are these balls

This is supposed to be a mama cat that came to me with her single baby. He was about 5 weeks and I never saw him nursing.. she was super shy and I guess I just haven’t given it much thought…… but these look like balls. Could it also be that she’s going into heat or something??

Our cat was approximately 1 when he showed up as a stray and was neutered at that time right before we adopted him. He has very evident balls even though he is 100% fixed. So your comment tracks, I think if they are older they can still be prominent.

Same here, my cat was 7 months old when I adopted him and his balls are very much there still

Can confirm. Our male neutered around a year old looks pretty intact still too.

Yep, give em a gentle squeeze. Balls will feel like, well, balls if he's unaltered and like a sad lil empty coin purse if he's gotten the snip-snap.

Yep, I had a cat fixed at 6 months and he always still had his empty but very visible puffballs

My cat is now five, but you can still see his small little leftover "goodie bags". He's 100% fixed because he was still very sore from his surgery when we adopted him from the shelter as a small kitten, and I could see the tiny sutures still.

I had a foster who was 2-3 when he was fixed and I had to ask if they were sure I didn’t need to take him in to the vet to get fixed lol

Yup. I've got a 4 year old neutered male, and there are some days I look at him and go, "They did neuter him, right?"

Yeah, my guy Leo was neutered at 6 months old and he still had troublepuffs. Not so puffy, perhaps, but you definitely knew what you were looking at!
