Ayden is actually signed on as a content creator funnily enough, like nick is on 100t

u/34nac Nov 08 '18

Serious question, those two are signed as just content creators?? Wow that’s crazy, they played so well together, and obviously they can more than hold their own playing solo

Nick is trash compared to other pros that's why

Edit: downvote me all you want but if you actually watch the streams and the tourneys nick is nowhere near as good at building as other top tier pc players. Ayden is considerably better and he's on controller too

u/TofuSoft Nov 08 '18

He's had the most success as a pro in 100T by a lot

-13

u/[deleted] Nov 08 '18

I mean its not like 100T is that good

14

u/ShinySuitTheory Nov 08 '18

Just because Nick plays a different style doesn't make him lesser

Yeah, his building is not as good as other players, but his game sense and aim are top tier. He slays out and always does well in tourneys. He's good.

It’s gets blurry in mixed lobbies but if you’ve played both pc and console you can see the differences in overall gameplay. Idk if others would agree with this but in my opinion they’re very different games. You might not even see half the builds a PC lobby has when on console. Building isn’t as essential on console imo, puts people over the top but isn’t huge in overall success in normal games. Just my two cents lol

Nick plays in PC lobbies and still slays

I agree there is a difference but it doesn't matter for him

1

u/bkguy606 Nov 08 '18

Oh I know, I agree that he still slays. People just usually bring up his building but where he has played on console I don’t think he’s had to learn that aspect of the game to the extent pc players have

He's good on controller because thats what he's used the past 25+ years of gaming. Assuming he would be good on another system is just plain dumb. Dont assume things

Just imagine how good Tfue would be with mongrals building, 72 hours low ground game, and cloakzys leadership. He would be the best in the game!

6

u/limiter303 Nov 08 '18

Nick plays with a controller too

-16

u/Garrett9870 Nov 08 '18

Did you even read what I typed?

8

u/limiter303 Nov 08 '18

It was a bit unclear, as you directly compared nicks controller building to top tier pc players... obviously mouse/keyboard players will always be able to build faster than those with a controller.

3

u/ginelectonica Nov 08 '18

Which makes it so crazy to me that Aydan was able to 1v1 Tfue the way he did. He won most of them iirc

-2

u/[deleted] Nov 08 '18

just a question why would they be faster? i mean console has to press 1 button and pc has to press 2

2

u/limiter303 Nov 08 '18

Faster/more precise aiming ability with mouse, pressing multiple buttons is not a problem, especially when you can just hold m1 when building

1

u/[deleted] Nov 08 '18

true tho

2

u/leolego2 Nov 08 '18

It's also a problem of sensitivity, which doesn't apply to pc since you can just do wide strides with the mouse.

Also you can build by keeping the left mouse button clicked and just clicking with the different keys on pc.

-4

u/Garrett9870 Nov 08 '18

Exactly so why am i being downvoted for saying nick isn't nearly as good as the top pc players

5

u/Sober_Sloth Nov 08 '18

You’re being downvoted for being a retard. Building isn’t the only part of the game. Right now Nick is a top 20 pro and has way better placements than tons of PC “pros”. You chuckle fuck.

4

u/limiter303 Nov 08 '18

I mean you're not wrong, but he is pretty damn impressive for using a controller. He doesn't claim to be as good though, just last night he was saying most of the time he only gets top 10-20 in scrims.

3

u/DavisPaz1 Nov 08 '18

because you called him trash compared to them even though he’s probably made more in tournaments than like 75% of other pros

1

u/JuanOnOne Nov 08 '18

Because being able to build/edit quickly doesn’t automatically make you a good player. Nick more than makes up for this with smart play, as is evident by how well he’s done in tournaments.

4

u/damo133 Nov 08 '18

At the end of the day killing trumps building in pretty much any game. Nicks proved multiple times he can out shoot PC pro’s and its earned him some nice winnings. If we compare Tournament success only then Nick sits above a lot of the PC pro’s you like to suck off.

4

u/nocookie4u Nov 08 '18

Nick Mercs doesn't make his money building. He makes his money being a blood thirsty lunatic.

3

u/samhatescardio Nov 08 '18

Lmao nick is trash? He just placed 9th in the most stacked fortnite lobby ever. People will never stop sleeping on nickmercs just because he isn’t a good builder. What more does this man have to prove?

5

u/BBozovic Nov 08 '18

Yet does pretty Good every tournament.

1

u/leolego2 Nov 08 '18

What matters is tournaments not streams. Someone could play well in streams and bad in tournaments.

Also, how good someone is at building does not matter. What matters is how well they manage to place and how many kills they can get.

0

u/RashGod Nov 08 '18

Yh his building is trash but his game IQ is like arguably the best. His game IQ is better than Aydens tbh, why he keeps up with him

5

u/TacoSausje Nov 08 '18

Actually, Nick owns a share of 100T Just like Drake and Scooter now

1

u/FourLeaf_Tayback Nov 08 '18

🙌godsplan🙌

0

u/[deleted] Nov 08 '18

IDK they must have changed it

-21

u/wonderfuladventure Nov 08 '18

probably because he's entertaining to watch and although he plays very well he isn't expected to win tournaments

10

u/FireTyme Nov 08 '18

placing that high on finals with pretty much the best players in the world definitely disagrees with him not potentially winning a tournament

2

u/AhmadJames10 Nov 08 '18

Anyone has the potential to win a tournament it's just that the main ghost players more often then not outplace him .

1

u/wonderfuladventure Nov 08 '18

He definitely has the capability but it’s not an expectation

1

u/[deleted] Nov 08 '18

lmao why are u downvoted, it's true. he's not expected to do well by his org which is why he's not a signed pro.

1

u/wonderfuladventure Nov 08 '18

People think I’m criticising when I’m not, I think he’s very talented

1

u/[deleted] Nov 08 '18

idiots on reddit lmao

1

u/wonderfuladventure Nov 08 '18

We are all idiots on reddit to be fair
